I shoot bracketed exposures all the time for HDR and use Aperature Priority only to maintain focus throughout. Lens behave differently when changing Aperature from image to image.

Let us not get into the politics. There is possibly some "fake news," but, what you relate is the overinterpretation ovedramatization, not the production of false, aka fake, news. It is like alternative facts versus real facts! There are serious wild fires, they are destroying vast expanses of forests and housing. The earth has had wild fires since the earth was born. That is true, but it is also true that in this age, the dangers and damages are far greater than before.

Then it is fake because it does not report the FACTS as they are.

The problem with the news media is just reporting the news makes for boring stories. So they tweek the news into stories even if that means making it sensational and dramatic. There are no true journalists left anymore. And the sheep sit there night after night believing the twisted stories they share. A form of entertainment not news.

Had cable 70 bucks a month. Switched to YouTube tv with locals 50 a month. Dsl internet 70 a month super slow. Just switched to T-mobile wireless internet at 5 times the speed for 50 a month. Wireless is the future and companies that don't switch will be going out of business. And no cable guy to deal with.

I shoot a lot. Just shot 2000+ images on three weekend outings to capture fall colors. Some of these will be submitted to a magazine publisher. Some are upload to POD sites. All are enjoyed by me and the memories I have of the captured moments.

I feel at my most relaxed when out shooting even though I want some saleable images to pay for my trips. Even then I would still do it if it did not pay. I have books printed every year of my personal favorites and all images are backed up just in case. I find photography to be good for my soul.

If I were going to print this, I would remove the rock sticking up out of the water.

Cloned out the rock because you mentioned it I kept looking at it. Never bugged me until then lol. I also cloned out the sign post in the background as it became troublesome to me also. Thanks for the eye.

I may do that. I am not one for much cloning of natural objects, power lines is another story. I hate them.

Sunday morning I went to one of my goto locations and was treated with this scene. I couldn’t stop looking at the beauty of it. The calm water and Autumn colors reflecting.

I used my Nikon D7100 and took two vertical shots. Each being a 3 shot HDR and turned the camera slightly to widen the image and stitched the scene together. I will be getting a large print of this image.

F/14, 1/6 sec, ISO-100, Nikor 55-300 @86mm

OH man, this one took me 2 seconds on google. You can do the other one your self by googling Cardinal Camera. You will find a phone number on each site, then you can call them and ask them yourself. By the way, do you make your own breakfast or does someone ALWAYS do that for you to.

A bit snarky and rude are we today? Or are you this way naturally? If you don't want to respond in a helpful non-rude manner keep your thoughts to yourself and move on. I don't get people who post stuff in this manner and how their interpersonal skills are in the real world.

If you are not signing personally and printing with a logo or watermark stop doing so as it devalues the print. Sign in lower corners and obscure enough to not be a distraction or better yet sign on the back of the image.

I shoot Canon JPEG at it's best resolution. How many pix can I get per GB? Don't tell me raw. Don't tell me it depends. Give me a number.

Please and thank you? And yes it does matter which camera you have and the resolution you save in. You could easily find this on Google.

As the performance of camera lenses falls away when you examine the edge of the picture, does a full frame lens ( FX DG etc ) on a camera body

which has a cropped sensor perform better than when mounted on a full frame sensor body? In the case of the cropped frame camera body

does the fact that the edge of the image falls outside the sensor improve the performance.? Complicated I know by the apparent change

in focal length............... More expensive lenses I know, but also worth thinking about "future proofing" in the event of going full frame.
As the performance of camera lenses falls away whe... (show quote)

If you are concerned about the edges of an image then there is something wrong with the composition. Too many get hung up on pixel peeping at 100%. You do not want people focusing on the edge of an image and images are usually not viewed at 100%. My guess is if printed most people would not even notice.

Thank you all. I don't sell my cards but I send them to a card ministry. They sell them to the congregation members. So to be safe, I won't use anyone's photos on this site.

You may not sell them but the church does? How does this exempt you? Thou shall not steal comes to mind. Are you letting the ministry know where the image came from? If nothing else respect the work a person went through to get to location and the time it took to get the shot.

Then you state you won't use any from here like that makes it better??? Adjust your moral compass and look at it from the owners viewpoint. Now if you ask and are given permission no problem.

Question: I make greeting cards and have seen so many beautiful photos I'd like to use as a background. Is that legal? I don't see any copyright marks on any of them.

Really you need to ask? Would it be ok if I walked into your house and helped myself to something that is not mine???
