What we really need is for Canon or Nikon to put a phone in their cameras!

I have the 70-200 f2.8 Mk II and had the 70-300. Using with a 7DMk II and 5D Mk IV. Sold the 70-300 when I got the 70-200. Have also bought the 100-400 Mk II. I am a member of a large hunting club with 2400 acres. About 5 years ago I switched from a gun to camera. If your lense won't reach out far enough, get closer. Camera hunting is as much or more challenging than hunting with a gun! The 100-400 Mk II is a great lenses, almost as sharp as the 70-200 Mk II. If I was forced to 1 camera/lense it would be the 7D Mk II with the 70-200 2.8 Mk II and if needed add the 1.4 III.

I bought this lens several months ago. I want to say it's on par with my 70-200 L 2.8 II but the 2.8 out shines the 4.5. Using both on 7D II and 5D IV. The 7D II with the 100-400 is my go to for wildlife and 5D with the 70-200 is my go to for portraits, scenes, and most general walk around. I believe the choice should be governed my the intended usage. It will not disappoint, but neither will the 70-200 L 2.8 II. Each lens has its place with a slight overlap. Love both lens and would be hard to part with either!

As I posted earlier, my father was a guard at the tomb in the mid 50's. As to loaded gun or not, cross the line and you'll find out! Your surviving family members will have something to talk about. If not loaded, then it's all for show. Believe me, it's not for show.

Right you are. My father was a guard at the Tomb in the mid 50's. The wreath pin was not given until some years later.

Just added AdBlock. Seems to eliminate the problem, at least for now!

Yes. So far I have won over a total of $6000. Wonder if I can buy a 1D with it?

Great moment! It appears to be a grey fox, not red one. I had a gray that would set and watch me mow grass. As long as I kept moving, no problem, stop and it would leave. Greys are active in the day time, reds are more nocturnal. Some greys will even climb trees and lay on limbs to keep cool in the heat. Mine, he or she would eat chicken put of my hand. Not the smartest thing to do, but so want. Turned out it was a she as she brought 3 kits with her on several days. This went on for one summer and never saw them again.

For dpullman, my wife and I were treated for Lyme from 2003 to 2006 and again in 2011. We both had brain problems, sore and stiff joints, memory problems, and more. Tested positive blood by Igenex Labs in California. This is a serious disease and not to be taken lightly. Therefore, a bullseye rash is not always the best soonest test. My wife and myself NEVER had a bullseye rash, not at all, not ever. The rash can be a sign, but there are dozens of other indicators.

specters & manglesphoto answers is what I have beeen using for years. Already presplit and the center of the tubing is open. Can buy for 1/2" or 3/4" diameter pipe. I found the 1/2" to work best as it sticks tighter to the window. Very easy to remove when done. Sticks well even when driving (slow speeds). If your window angles downward towards the front, I would not cover this area to much as it try's to force it off of the window. I run the window up when moving and down when needed. It slides off very easy when not using.

I have had Eagle Optics 10x42 Rangers for 8 years. A birding friend recommmended them to me. I was stuck between 8x and 10x. Called Eagle and the lady suggested sending both, see which I liked better, and send the other one back for credit. I did, chose the 10x, and sent the 8x back. No problem. My buddy that recommended EO product has Swarovski 10 x42. After I got my EO's, we were in Canada fishing together. We switched with each other and neither of us could see any noticeable difference! His cost over 3x mine and weighed at least 2 to 3 times as much. I have had guys at our hunting club use them and everyone of them have remarked what a great piece of glass they are. Most of them would never spend $500+ although one has Nikon. He paid $300 +/- and they do not compare to my EO's. First year I had my EO's I dropped them and got parallax. Sent them for repair and got them back in less than1 week, at no charge, even though I droppped them. Great customer service and great to talk with.

Bird is sharper than tree, but not "sharp." I, at one time, used a tripod for wildlife. I have since changed to a monopod. Much easier than a tripod for unexpected movement and setup. If I am moving around, I leave the cameras attached to the mono and set at the correct height for my eye. When I bought a 7D, I got kit lenses. Could not satisfy myself with their clarity. Sold them and went to all "L" series lens. Big improvement, still not all pictures are that perfect one. I since have bought a 7DMk II. Two items with this camera that get you closer to "perfection." One is within the menu, there are "cases" that give you different parameters for different situations, one of which would apply to birding. These cases are adjusrable to suit yourself. The other is the 7DMkII can take 10fps on high speed continuous. I use this for almost all wildlife, animals, pets, children, and anything with movement beyond your control. Yes, there is a lot of deletion of pictures, but for every 10 to 15 taken, 1 or 2 are prime.
