HI folks! I'm back as PP Forum co-moderator. There has been a lot of ugly behavior here this week, but I've locked the most contentious topics and now we're going to move on. If you have a personal problem with another user, take your argument to private messaging or The Attic.

Please review the revised section guidelines here, including the paragraph about unacceptable behavior. I'm confident that everyone knows how to offer constructive feedback, advice or observations. I'm equally confident that responding to well-intended comments (even if negative) can be done graciously. If you don't have these skills, this section is not for you.

I've decided to go back to how most of UHH is set up regarding editing: no edits or alterations may be done without OP's permission. Some users give blanket permission (or refusal) in their signature line; some may prefer a case by case basis. If it's not clear, be sure to ask.

Constructive suggestions for section improvements are welcomed. Many thanks!

I have heard rumors that Nikon was going to produce XQD cards and I have heard that CFexpress is going to replace the XQD cards and be physically compatable with one another. In Nikon cameras, will that require firmware update? During black Friday and cyber Monday I was looking for a deal on 120MB card, nothing. So, before buying a Sony XQD card, I thought I would ask what is happening now and in the months to come. I don't need another card but nice to have insurance and flexability. I do like how fast they upload large files.

The one we DIDN'T get was $10K. It was 1/4 inch too big for her sewing cabinet.

Our sales rep was excited because she was taking home her new machine that day. It had been in the "back room" while she's been making payments on it. She said her husband (1) didn't know, (2) would never know and (3) wouldn't notice the difference when he finally saw it. There is a reason they are all painted white.

Would your wife notice if your camera suddenly say D850 instead of D750 on the front?

I could have written;

or some other such.

Why didn't I? I've no real idea, except that I am much closer to black kids than other oppressed. They mock uppity, privileged whites in that manner. That you did not know that might speak volumes about your position and racism.

I am through with this thread, not wanting others to have to hurt their minds with the nastiness thrown around here.

It's sad that you are so ignorant of copyright law and art/photography practice, even though I have tried to explain it to you.

For those unsure of what is and is not doable in or with your photos: Copyright law PROTECTS my use of JoeJoe's photo. There is a huge difference between my modifying his photo in my personal expression (protected) or my copying it and selling or advertising it as mine (🚫 forbidden).

i fear that the narrowness of JoeJoe, or perhaps more accurately, his brazen broadening of even the "editing" rules here on UHH, coupled with the acquiescence of the powers that be, lessen respect for this generally helpful site among professionals.
