Excellent set! I’m always blown away with the size differential between modern war planes and WWII craft.

All are absolutely gorgeous photos. I especially like the little scolding pika.

Oh man, it’s been way too many years since I’ve seen one in nature. Used to catch them all the time as a kid. Uh, that was prolly 70+ years ago.

Thank you. I don’t feel quite as stupid now. And I’ve got lots of roadside photos that fit the same category!

Still, known or unknown, nice photos you made.

I notice not a soul has said they know what this is. Am I the only ignorant one here?

#2, 3, and 4 certainly don’t deserve the slightest nod as out takes. They are terrific.

I haven’t bothered with my Dell laptop but I’ve got the Kindle app on my iPhone and iPad. It works super and dirt easy. I use Libby app to borrow books from my library and read from whichever device I have in front of me. That’s usually my phone since it’s almost always within reach.

Lots of off-the-wall guesses about the two hand wheels. Anyone who spent some or all their youth/life around tractors can tell you they are NOT something to restart the engine, nor are they brakes of any sort. Cat skinner probably has the closest rationale for them - to adjust a mid-mounted blade. Think road grader on a smaller scale.

Maybe a starting point would be to purchase your own fingertip oximeter, the kind that doctors use. They cost about $20 on Amazon. Normal O2 levels are anywhere from 95 to98. Anything below 95 during normal activities might indicate a problem. I'm not diagnosing anything but have one myself and always carry it.

Thanks. I have one, plus my Apple Watch has that function. So far both have looked good.

Ron - you need to see a pulmonologist and have a full pulmonary function test done, including DLCO. If that test is negative, THEN consider an overnight home sleep test - which many insurance companies require before doing an in-lab overnight sleep test for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Thank you, Merlin. I’m contacting my doctor today.

The first thing you need to do is see a pulmonologist and find out if supplemental O2 is in your future. IIf so, in order for insurance to cover any kind of unit, portable or home, you need to pass (actually fail) a walking test. You walk for 6 minutes monitoring…

If your not a candidate for supplementary O2, and just want that boost, Amazon sells breathable 90% O2 in a can called "BOOST". Costa about $10 a can.

I just ordered a 3-pack of 10 liter size Boost from Amazon. $45, so it’s skyrocketed. Like everything else.

I’m very interested in this thread since I’ve developed a breathing problem at night. It first showed up at altitude (8700’) but the simple nasal adhesive strips (Breathe Rights) were sufficient. Then, this summer, they are no longer enough and I wake up gasping for air. Now I’m getting the same problem at 500’ altitude.

So, I’m seeking a solution. Supposedly there is a request in from my doctor regarding a CPAP home test kit. It’s my gut feeling that a CPAP is not the solution for me and I’ll be needing something like an oxygen concentrator. However, right now I’d be pleased as punch if the doc could get something started that would potentially help. Heck, I even went to an Ear, Nose and Throat doc to see if I had any polyps that were restricting my breathing, but no.

I got my first stent back in 1999. I was able to watch the monitor along with the cardiologist. Even got to ask a few questions. It was fascinating. Along comes a cabin to be built in Colorado and all went fine until 2007, when I felt a definite change in capabilities while working. Then that fall I experienced an “event” that got me a ride to ER. I lucked into a wonderful cardiologist being on duty. One day later I got two more stents, followed by a pacemaker the next day. The pacemaker was for bradycardia, as my heart rate was dropping info the 30’s at night. In 2014 that pacemaker was replaced by a new unit, which is down to a year or so of battery life left. I got a fourth stent in 2018, and a fifth this past April. None of these resulted in any feelings of incapability. But, after a light workout at the local rec center on March 1st this year my Apple Watch announced I had AFib. That was just two weeks after my 80th birthday. Significantly, this change left me feeling closer to being an invalid than any other heart problem I’d experienced. I’ve heard many others indicate they had AFib and never knew it but that couldn’t be further from how I was affected. I’m now on meds that help but I can’t shake the feeling that my warranty has expired. I don’t like this feeling.

I’ve looked at all three pics and can’t see anything I would call a “gag”. If you’re referring to the white item, it appears to be the magneto. Before tractors had batteries the magneto provided the timed electrical surge to fire the spark plugs.
Those extra hand wheels drive a worm and sector that would seem to regulate the height/depth of some implement attached to the ball. Danged if I’ve ever seen anything like it tho’. Very I nteresting.

I realize this explains absolutely nothing but when my 11Pro starts acting weird I reboot it and, so far, its issues are gone when next turned on.
As far as your problem, I think two possibilities already mentioned have merit: it’s something related to the phone being in (or partially in) Pano mode even tho you were shooting in Photo; and/or a problem in the way the image was recorded/erased from the sensor between shots. Either could be the result of a glitch that rebooting could reset.
