I was the camera shop in Charlotte yesterday and a couple of people who were out shooting over the weekend were saying the colors are not very good this year. To me it seems things have been very slow in changing this Fall. Good luck on your shooting.

Best,
Todd Ferguson

I have gone up to the BRP 2 out of the last 3 weekends and the colors have not been that great. Better now than a couple weeks ago. We really haven't had much rain and the trees are just drying up and it is affecting the leaf colors. Definitely a more dried out brown for a lot of the trees.

And what part did you object to? Maybe you can come up with the correct answer.

I was hoping someone had some knowledge of this trigger. Anyone?

I would suggest a full frame. You are currently using a Canon and since you already have the 70-200 I would go for a 6D or 6DII. That would be a great camera for your low light photos.

I see they have a downloadable manual (English, French, Italian & Spanish) and a Quick Start Guide on their website.

Yes, I have looked at it but it seems fairly sparse with not much depth to it. That is why I am asking.

I use a Canon D60 with an EF 70-200 f/4L

I do have the ISO set very high 3200-6400

If you are getting too much noise at ISO 3200-6400, then you either need a faster lens or a better sensor. A faster lens would definitely help and a full frame camera would/should not have problems shooting in those perimeters.

I am interested in hearing from those of you who might own and use the Pluto Trigger. How do you like it? Is it easy to understand and use? How steep is the learning curve?

For sharing of photos with different groups of people I like to use Shutterfly. They have share sites that you create with what you want to share and then you can invite whom ever you like or set up different groups.

I also see Macro mode normal in the EXIF data ????

I don't see anything about Macro Mode, but I do see that the picture was taken in Live View. In Live View it should have been obvious that the pictures were out of focus.

Yep, your lens was set to manual focus, so it wasn't focusing.

Nice job!
You are allowed to use flash at your night football games? Wow! Not allowed where I am - no flash for any of the high school games. I am jealous!
Is your flash off or on camera?

FYI...(I am not sure if I stated this in this thread)...The D5 is my primary camera for sports action. For night football games, I use nothing but F2.8 lenses, and faster, including a Nikon 400/F2.8 E FL. Nothing else will fit the bill for that! The D850 is now my tag-a-long camera, hanging off my left shoulder, used when the action get too close for the 400. Normally, it carries the 70-200/F2.8E FL, but sometimes something faster and shorter. I was previously using a D500 for this, but recently replaced it with a D850. MY results are what matter the most to me, and I am very happy with this new combination. Normally I shoot wide open, using a set shutter speed (depends on the light available at the game, but I prefer 1/1000th for this work, and either use auto ISO if the lighting varies quite a bit, or on a set ISO. Everything varies by venue, time of day, uniform colors, etc.. Best of luck.

You have an enviable set up, but not everyone has the means to be as decked out as you seem to be. Hopefully your sports photography is good enough to pay the bills for all your equipment.

Not sure what camera you are using, but 3200 ISO should not be a picture breaker. If I set my ISO to 800 there would be a lot of shots that would be missed out on. If you are getting extreme noise above 800 ISO then it might be time to look for a different/newer camera that can handle noise.
As for the wedding pictures, it sounds like the "professional" wasn't very professional. Did the photographer give your granddaughter the RAW files to post process herself? Were they even RAW files? The whole thing doesn't sounds professional at all.

D500 of jump over it to he D750, both are full frame.

This is not true. The D500 is a crop sensor.
