9/11/2022 commemorative stairclimb at Summit Park. Firefighter participation from several local fire departments with color guard provided by American Legion Post 630. Never Forget!
One of my early memories was my Dad's National Geographic coverage of Queen Elizabeth's coronation. She has been there my entire life. Now she isn't. I grieve with the Brits & the world the loss of this gracious and dedicated Lady.
All true but the first one resonates the most.
Granny nailed it...8 times!
I have a weekly admonition "Go down the basement. Find something. Put it in the trash. Pickup is tomorrow."
She is new to me. Thanks for expanding my musical world.
I had the same feeling when I was a kid in Dearborn!
They don't make em like that anymore. Hard to watch without a BIG smile!
I grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. We didn't do cowboy boots😊
Just a great day. American Legion Post 630 led the parade.
Both good but second one brought a smile!
I have fond memories of HoJo's on family trips from Michigan to Florida but the one I remember best was the laugh of the waitress when while in my early 20's I asked "Where's my Welsh Rabbit?"
Good stuff. One of my early introductions to jazz was the "Timex All Star Jazz Show" in the late 50's. Joe Williams was one of the great performers.
In the late 60's I was regularly assigned as an Army photographer to participate in manuevers with the Brits in their sector of northern Germany. The forces included French, Brits & US. One of the surprises at least the 1st time) was when the 100 vehicle convoy ground to a halt, the burners came out and we had tea. It was mixed with milk & very good.
It was also the first time I ever had corn beef hash & fried eggs. I think about those days every time I have it for breakfast!
