Thanks John, you are quite right.
Before I send the jpeg file I send them an email asking for payment and for them to acknowledge a few terms which includes "limited copyright". They agree not to resell the image in any form, not to use it for commercial purposes and to acknowledge Photogenics.co.nz if used in any publication. They can however print as many copies as they require.
Doesn't always work tho. One of the pics I didn't charge for ended up on a guys website and I only picked it up when I googled his name a few days later and bingo, there was my photo with him claiming he'd taken it on a visit to NZ.
Sent him a shitty email and the photo was taken off but I got no reply to my email. Win some, lose some.
Thanks John, you are quite right. br Before I send... (show quote)

Also Remember That Copyright Laws Are Only Federal. If you Sell It To Someone Out Of The Country? Oh Well!

You could send your files to Bay Photo and have them correct them if needed and include it in your price . Very little work on your part and you will have a professional job done. If your shots are good. The prints done on aluminum are fantastic. Just a thought. Lots of naysayers,I say go for it,you will find out soon if it's not for you

Good Advice!

Big Mistake! You Need To Know That It's Not About The Equipment,And Don't Be Intimidated By Others In The Field, It's About The Audience And What They Would Like Enough About Your Work To Buy It' If I Worried About What Other Professionals Said About My Work I Would Have Given Up Years Ago. As A Very Good Friend Of Mine Said" Jim, It's When The Competition Stops Talking About You, Then You Need To Worry! Your No Longer A Threat!" You Will Build The SELF Confidence By Selling To Your Group Of Followers. Enjoy The Ride You Learn From Making Mistakes. When Others Give Me A Hard Time I Say " Really? Would You Like To Compare W2s? I Still Have Images That People Buy From Me That I Shot In The 60s With A Much Cheeper Camera With Only One Lens!
