Yeah, tough day yesterday, I almost forgot that Biden is the greatest president this country has ever had. Please excuse my t***sgression.

I can like the results of the Biden administration and still think Biden is preferred in the next e******n without thinking he is the best person in the country to be president. He's the only choice.

trump is not a consideration and neither are the people who surround him and slated for his administration. A return to Reagonomics, indiscriminate trade policies and the ensuant chaos will tear this country farther apart.

I would take many other republicans over trump, but MAGA rules and GOP is no longer a viable party.

That is your opinion, Reagan was never given a fair break by the l*****t media nor the academics, but the v**ers did recognize his contribution because he was reelected in the biggest landslide e******n in this country's history.

As far as Trump's economic policies, we did well during his tenure not only did the economy do well, stronger growth than either of the two Administrations that preceded him while maintaining low inflation. More importantly people did not feel the pain that they are feeling under the Biden Administration, I understand the excuses being made for the Biden Administration, is that not how it always goes? Republicans always can do no good while the democrats are always good stewards.... Reagan was great and Trump was trying to reinvigorate the US economy, Biden, well he just fails at almost everything he does yet he still gets good press, we all know what a great success Afghanistan was....

The post cited says that both are to blame.

Rereading his post I can see that, it is hard to argue that Trump's spending was not necessary as the economy was shut down in 2020, it is easy to argue that Biden's was unnecessary as the economy was pretty much opened when he did his c***d relief, where did all that money go anyway?

I am no more partisan than you and Tripe are jaded by your hatred of Trump. You may deny that you are a Biden supporter but your relentless putting down those who see Trump as a better alternative to Biden serves as support. Biden can barely speak in coherent sentences these days, it is a national embarrassment to see him along side of other world leaders as we did yesterday. The contrast is blaring.

Most sane people know that the current inflation is from c***d actions and are smart enough to know that blame can't be placed 100% on either trump or Biden. They ignore the claims by both candidates as campaign rhetoric.

Biden gets fact-checked all the time. You're either assuming in your red-based partisan brain or lying.

BS, you can't discount Biden's spending as having no effect, you are trying to overturn the basic principles of economics.... Text book after text book will tell you that government deficit spending effects inflation.

I believe he is incorrect about jobs. MAGA screamed about manufacturing jobs. Those jobs are growing and still they complain. Whether they're going to i*****l i*******ts is not something I can show and neither can he. I have faith in the I-9 process is done properly. I do know that legal immigration is needed to fill the need. The boat manufacturers, gun manufacturers, EV battery manufacturing, and chip manufacturing are going crazy here. If you are not working, it's your own damned fault.

Manufacturing is up? Not according to this 2023 report.

"Labor productivity for manufacturing decreased by
1.0 % between the second quarter of 2022 and the second quarter of 2023, as illustrated
in Figure 4.9. The five-year compound annual growth is -0.6 %. For U.S. manufacturing,
total factor productivity increased 3.6 % from 2020 to 2021 and has a 5-year compound
annual growth rate of 0.7 %, as illustrated in Figure 4.10. Productivity in the U.S. is
relatively high compared to other countries. As illustrated in Figure 4.11, the U.S. is
ranked ninth in output per hour among 142 countries using data from the Conference
Board. In recent years, productivity growth has been negative or has come to a plateau in
many countries and the U.S. seems to be following this pattern of slow growth. There are
competing explanations for why productivity has slowed, such as an aging population,
ine******y, or other factors. A number of the explanations equate to low levels of capital
investment. It is also important to note that productivity is difficult to measure and even
more difficult to compare across countries. Moreover, the evidence does not seem to
support any particular explanation over another as to why productivity appears to have
stalled."

My comment was not a defense of Trump so much as the current president and the corrupt media which hides his flaws from the American people.

Not exactly at the roof anymore - you're using old news to stir up new "the sky is falling" rhetoric.

Inflation is coming down at about the same trajectory as it went up. Energy and food are still the most volatile. Still too high, but I'm hopeful when seeing it trending down as it is. Not fast enough, but there is a fine line between soft landing and recession for this post c***d economy. Yes, it is Bidenomics!

I saw Biden yesterday making the statement that when he assumed office in 2021 that inflation was soaring under Trump. The fact is that the inflation rate in Jan of 2021 was 1.4%.

Odd how the media fact checks Trumps jokes but shrugs their shoulders when the serial liar and chief lies like a rug.

I bet trump never complained about the valuation when he paid his taxes .

So, where I live the county values my house at about 1/2 what Zillow does, do you think that I should call and ask them to correct it?

I suspect that you have a similar situation, I seriously doubt that for tax purposes your taxing authority is valuing your home at market value....

So your criticism of Trump in this matter is a bit disingenuous.

How many roads and bridges do you travel over or under on a regular basis, which are visibly in desperate need of repair or replacement?

Where do you think the money is going to come from for those repairs or replacements?

So two bridges and 6 EV chargers.... Things are progressing just swimmingly.

Wait! I see that as failure on our part. Right now America is third in EV use ) that counting EU as a single entity but way way down the list in EV manufacture- that’s JOBs . The largest exported of EV to EU is china. So on one hand we moan complain about China and the other hand give them bigger and bigger market share. Something wrong thier.

To me this is jobs jobs jobs . …but some put politics ahead of that .

Denny, we have allowed China to corner the market on the materials needed to make those batteries. Where they are located in the US the regulatory environment makes them almost impossible to recover....

Who gives a crap that China is beating us in EV manufacture, they are beating us in just about everything else as well.
