Like Curmudgeon, there are no local camera stores. If there were, I would shop there. The closest one to me is 1 3/4 hours away. That is a lot of travel time and a chunk out of your day.
I do shop with B&H and Adorama and have never had any issues. A few times when I needed advice Herschel, from B&H, put me in contact with the best person to answer my questions. I will continue to shop with them because of the great service.

I always try to park where I can get out no matter what time I want to leave. This means on the street with plenty of room behind me in case the person that parks in front doesn't leave me enough room. I will also park with a neighboring driveway in front or behind so that (theoretically) will not be blocked and I have room to maneuver.

I'm guessing your address will go on the list of houses not to visit. LOL!!!

Some subjects require 10,000 or more shots to fully capture all their glory. We can look forward to (at least) 10,000 more as your subject surely has more to capture.
Looking forward to more!

Using a clear filter to protect the lens is a practice I follow. I have also considered the other side of the argument that putting another piece of glass in front of these high quality lenses could reduce the quality of the photo ever so slightly.
My solutions are:
1) To remove the lens cap by unscrewing the filter still attached to the cap. When my shooting is done I simply screw it back on.
2) Using a quality filter over a cheap one to minimize any loss of quality.
Rarely, do I take the filter off but it is an option.
Happy Shooting!!

Hugs and kisses from me and lots of sloppy wet kisses from Murphy!!!

I, too, will be sticking with what I have. The Nikon D750 and the D810 will do everything I need them to and I have all the lenses I need as well.

Very nicely done!! May I make a suggestion? Photo number 1 would benefit from the removal of the box on the wall. Great photos all!!!
