A man is feeling very ill, goes to see his doctor, and is immediately
rushed to hospital to undergo tests. The man wakes up after the tests in
a private room at the hospital, the blinds are drawn, and no sounds are heard.
The phone by his bed rings. He reaches over, picks it up, and says, "Hello."

"Hello, Bruce? This is your doctor. We've got the results back from your
tests and we've found you have an extremely nasty and rare disease called G.A.S.H.
It's a combination of gonorrhea, AIDS, syphilis, and herpes!"

"My gosh, doctor! What are you going to do?"

"Well we're going to put you on a diet of pizzas, pancakes, and pita bread."

"Will that cure me?"

"Well, no, but it's the only food we can slip under the door."

A rich 85-year old man marries a lovely 25-year old woman. Because her new husband is so old the woman decides that on their wedding night they should have separate suites. She is concerned that the old fellow could overexert himself.

After the festivities she prepares herself for bed and for the knock on the door she is expecting. Sure enough the knock comes and there is her groom ready for action. They unite in conjugal union and all goes well, whereupon he takes his leave of her and she prepares to go to sleep for the night.

After a few minutes there's a knock on the door and there's the old guy again...and ready. Somewhat surprised she consents to further coupling, which is again successful, after which the octogenarian bids her a fond good night and leaves. She is certainly ready for slumber at this point and is close to sleep for the second time when there is another knock at the door, and there he is again fresh as a 25-year old and ready for more.

Once again they do the horizontal boogie. As they're lying in the afterglow, the young woman says to him, "I am really impressed that a guy your age has enough juice to go for it three times. I've been with guys less than half your age who were only good for one."

The old guy looks puzzled and turns to her and says, "Was I already here?"

Even into the '70s, the German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport were known far and wide as a short-tempered lot. They not only expected one to know one's gate parking location but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we (a PanAm 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a British Airways Concord (call sign "Speedbird 206") after landing:

Speedbird 206: "Good morning Frankfurt. Speedbird 206 clear of the active runway."

Ground: "Guten Morgen! You vill taxi to your gate!"

The British Airways Concorde pulled onto the main taxiway and stopped.

Ground: "Schpeedbird, do you not know vare you are goink?"

Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up the gate location now."

Ground (with impatience) "Schpeedbird 206, haff you nefer flown to Frankfurt before?"

Speedbird 206 (cooly): "Yes. Several times in 1944 when I dropped lots of heavy things, but I didn't stop."

As the UN Holds Global Climate Talks, Climate Consensus Is Crumbling
written by Steve Goreham December 5, 2018

Steve Goreham is a speaker, author, and researcher on environmental issues, energy, and public policy. He’s a frequently invited guest on radio and television as well as a free-lance writer. He is the Executive Director of the Climate Science Coalition of America (CSCA), a non-political association of scientists, engineers, and citizens dedicated to informing Americans about the realities of climate science and energy economics. CSCA is the US affiliate of the International Climate Science Coalition.

Steve is the author of three books on sustainability, c*****e c****e and energy. His latest book, Outside the Green Box: Rethinking Sustainable Development, tells readers “what their green consultant didn’t tell them.” More than 100,000 copies of his books are now in print.

Steve holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has more than 30 years of experience at Fortune 100 and private companies in engineering and executive roles. In his last industry position, he was vice president and general manager of an engineering and manufacturing operation with 350 employees and annual sales of $300 million. Steve is a husband and father of three and resides in Illinois.

The 24th Conference of the Parties — COP24 — a United Nations-led effort to fight global c*****e c****e, began Monday in Katowice, Poland. More than 15,000 attendees from 190 nations are expected to participate. But as delegates arrive at Katowice 2018, the global climate consensus crumbles around them.

The UN Framework Convention on C*****e C****e has held annual conferences since COP 1 in Berlin, Germany in 1995, with the goal of establishing obligations on nations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Delegates and observers travel each year by carbon-emitting aircraft to exotic global locations, such as Bali, Geneva and Nairobi, to haggle over the timing and amount of emissions reductions.

COP 3 in Kyoto, Japan in December 1997 was the first notable Conference of the Parties. COP3 adopted the Kyoto Protocol treaty, which obligated developed nations to reduce emissions 6 to 8 percent below 1990 levels. More than 190 nations adopted the Protocol, with the United States being the major exception.

COP 16 in Cancún, Mexico in December 2010 established the “Green Climate Fund,” calling for $100 billion per year to be contributed by developed nations to fund climate projects and programs in the developing nations. COP 16 also adopted the goal of limiting global temperature rise to 2oC warming over pre-industrial temperatures.

COP 21 in Paris adopted the Paris Climate Accords on December 12, 2015. The Paris Agreement was a non-binding agreement signed by 196 nations, pledging to reduce emissions from 2020 according to each nation’s own “nationally determined contributions.” The Paris Agreement reaffirmed commitments to the GCF and to limiting global temperature rise to “well below 2 degrees C.”

But as delegates arrived for this year’s conference in Katowice, it’s clear that efforts to fight c*****e c****e are in trouble. Almost all major nations are behind on their 2015 commitments to reduce emissions.

On June 1, 2017, President Donald Trump announced that the United States would withdraw from the Paris Climate Accords. Subsequently, the U.S. government slashed funding for UN climate efforts from $1.7 billion in FY 2017 proposed by the Obama administration to only $160 million. Most of the cuts were from the amount proposed for the GCF.

Although established at COP 16 in 2010, funding for the Green Climate Fund has always been shaky. But the lure of $100 billion in annual payments from wealthy to poor nations was a major reason for China, India and other developing countries to support UN g****l w*****g efforts.

In 2014, contributors pledged $10.3 billion to the GCF, with $3 billion pledged by the Obama administration. But only $1 billion of the U.S. pledge was delivered prior to the Trump administration cuts. GCF projects today total less than $5 billion in value. GCF Executive Director Howard Bamsey of Australia resigned after a meeting in July when no new projects were approved.

In addition to the collapse of the Green Climate Fund, rebellious citizens are forcing governments to scale back efforts to “fight” c*****e c****e in key nations. On Aug. 24, Scott Morrison replaced Malcolm Turnbull as the new Prime Minister of Australia. Power outages and rising electricity prices from g***n e****y policies played a key role in forcing the change of administration.

Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who led opposition efforts to change the government, called for Australia to abandon the Paris Accords in July. Threatened with trade sanctions, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced in October that Australia would not leave the Paris Accords, but would no longer contribute to the GCF.

In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continues to strongly support UN climate efforts, but his provincial governments are revolting. The provinces of Alberta, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan now oppose Trudeau’s carbon tax. In Ontario, where electricity prices have skyrocketed, Doug Ford was elected Premier in June. Ford immediately canceled hundreds of renewable energy contracts and eliminated the $14,000CN electric car subsidy.

Jair Bolsonaro, elected president of Brazil in October, declared in campaign speeches that he would pull his nation out of the Paris Climate Accords. After Bolsonaro’s e******n, France’s President Emmanuel Macron threatened not to sign the EU-Mercosur trade deal if Brazil withdrew from the Paris Agreement. Last week Bosonaro stated that Brazil will remain in the agreement, but Brazil also withdrew its offer to host the 2019 COP 25 conference.

Last week, President Macron encountered a climate revolt in his own nation. More than 100,000 people took to the streets in Paris to protest his new fuel tax. Yellow-vested demonstrators clashed with police and scaled the Arc de Triomphe. Macron implemented the tax to reduce vehicle use to try to combat g****l w*****g.

Global climate efforts are crumbling. If the United Nations has its way, we may get to see the 50th Conference of the Parties. But on the other hand, citizens may force governments to stop foolish efforts to try to control global temperatures.

I can't think of any animal over the years which has consistently given such comfort and companionship to humans like dogs have. Over the years we've read true stories of dogs lying on the floor beneath its owner's casket at church ceremonies, and refusing to leave. I'm so touched by the ultimate companionship that can develop between a dog and its human buddy. Like the K9s and service dogs. The marvelous hounds that can track a human by just smelling some clothing. And, all they need is some food, a pat on the head and a kind word or two.

The true stories of dogs rescuing humans; especially, the dog's sensory capability of sensing diseases in their human companion.

A poem I copied some years ago seems to me to capture the essence of dog|human energy thing.

A Stump For A Tail
(by Unknown author)

You can't buy loyalty they say,
I bought it, though the other day.
You can't buy friendship, tried and true.
Well, just the same, I bought that, too.

I made my bid, and on the spot
I bought love, faith, and the whole job lot
of happiness. So all in all,
the purchase price was pretty small.

I bought a single trusting heart
that gave devotion from the start.

So, if you think these things are not for sale,
buy a brown-eyed puppy with a stump for a tail.

All the pictures are gold quality. I'll spend hours looking at them all again and again.

I've been a dog lover|owner sometime after I returned from Germany, where I served in the US Army from early' 46 to November of '48 during The Occupation of Germany. While stationed for a few months in my soon-to-be German War Bride's hometown near Heidelberg and Mannheim, I spotted a couple of darling longhair Dachshunds lying on a doggie pillow on the doorstep of one of the restaurants. That was my first introduction to this lovely, sometimes comic, breed that captured my heart.

After my bride's and my return to the USA, and after my recall back to military duty during the Korean War, and final discharge, over the years we shared our home properties with several smooth hair Dachshunds.

Early in 1990 quite by accident, I was browsing the Internet looking at Dachshund websites and saw two longhair beauties to be surrendered by a young couple who had one toddler, with another baby on the way. Fortunately, my property and my wife and I passed the property check, and soon two gorgeous, friendly, well-trained sweeharts became part of our family. We've "rescued" another set of longhair Dachshunds, since. Let me make it clear, too, that all of these dogs, at my advanced age, have rescued me, too. lol

Here are pictures of Doc (the black and tan) and Oliver, the (brown with touches of black).

Trump is Right: Border Patrol Capturing MS-13 Gangsters in ‘Migrant Caravan’
Warner Todd Huston Warner Todd Huston December 1, 2018 950 Views

President Donald Trump has been warning for two years that our porous border is allowing too many MS-13 gangsters to get into the country, and with the so-called “migrant caravans” getting closer, Border Patrol officials are reporting a growing number of arrests of gangsters mixing in with the “migrants.”

Border Patrol agents announced the arrest of an MS-13 gang member at the Calexico port of entry about134 miles east of San Ysidro.

The arrest proves that Trump is right when he says that gang members are hiding among the “migrants” who have been trying to illegally break through our southern border.

According to the Department of U.S. Customs and Border Protection:

The incident occurred at approximately 6:09 p.m., when agents encountered a man just east of the Calexico Port of Entry suspected of being in the United States illegally. After a short interview, the man told agents he is a Honduran citizen and active gang member with the notorious Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS-13) international crime organization. The man also told agents he traveled to the United States border with a large group of people from Central America intending on filing for asylum in the United States.

The man was taken to El Centro station for further questioning. At the station records checks revealed the man is 29-year-old Jose Villalobos-Jobel, a citizen of Honduras. Again, Villalobos confirmed his story of his gang involvement and intent on entering the United States illegally.

The department noted that he is being held and will be deported back to Honduras.

Border agents also caught several other gang members this week.

On Wednesday, agents caught two gang members in Hidalgo. One was a Salvadoran member of MS-13, the other a Honduran member of 18th Street Gang.

The Salvadoran was nabbed near Pharr, Texas, and the Honduran was grabbed up in Hidalgo, Texas, according to a November 29 press release.

The same day McAllen agents also re-captured a Mexican man near Los Ebanos, Texas, who had a warrant out for his arrest for raping a child in Tukwila, Washington.

But Trump has been 100 percent correct. It has been estimated that between 500 and 6000 dangerous, violent criminals are hiding among the so-called migrant caravaners. But these are exactly the sort of people liberals want to enter our country."

How many whining liberal hypocrites ("let 'em in! Let 'em in!) are letting these i******s into their own homes; feeding them, taking care of their other daily needs? Can you spell Z-E-R-O?
