This guy eventually forced its owner to hang up the phone and he pulled her toward something he was fixated on. Just one of those shots that makes you smile...
we visited the ancient city of Pompeii. It was buried by volcano ash. One result was that bodies were vaporized, but encased in ash. When the voids were found, archeologists filled them with cement and the result was very detailed casts of these ancient people in death poses. Eerie and amazing all at once.

going through some old pictures of our trip to Puerto Rico. This is one of my all time favorite shots of a surfer in Luquillo in 2008. Shot with my first Nikon, a D80 and a 300mm zoom lens from the balcony of our rented condo, it captured the drama and strength of the surfers skill.
