I went out with my new Sigma 150-600 lens to try some bif pics. I'm new at this. no trouble with birds that are stationary but the problem is how to get a flying bird in the viewfinder. hand holding this lens isn't as bad as I thought it would be in my 68 year old hands, but I just can't seem to lock in a bird that is already flying. any tips? if and when I get one in the viewfinder, how do you focus on an eye?

You are overpaying. My Farmers Insurance Company homeowners insurance all risk camera flooter for $10,000 worth of equipment costs only $40 a year. It also covers "...doing stupid things to you(r) equipment...." You are paying three times that for only $6,500 coverage. It sounds like you are getting screwed.

the cost was offset by the two cars and house. I'm basically getting it for nothing so how am I over paying?

that has to be almost as hard as losing a human friend. I'm going thru this now. my Lab is 10 years old and last month we found out he need insulin twice per day and has severe arthritis in his hips. has trouble going up 4 steps. I know the vet is going to suggest putting him down. I'm retired and he is with me 24-7. I don't want him to suffer, but I just can't seem to let go. just typing this has my eyes filled with tears.

Fed Ex delivered one to my house yesterday. haven't had a chance to use it yet, but from what I'm seeing here, I think I made a good decision. will be used on my D7200.

dude, I agree 100%. I bought a carbon fiber Neewer tri-pod for when I don't want to haul my heavy Manfratto around. it's the same tripod as a Manfratto model and others that sell for more than double the price. I will never believe that I need a 800.00 tri pod, but that's just my opinion.

I have my equipment insured with USSA. 10.00 per month but offset by two cars and my home. with home owners the equipment is covered for theft and damage if in the house. mine covers everything including doing stupid things to you equipment with no deductible. no need to call an agent. I can make changes on line. 6500.00 in camera and lenses for just about free.

beautiful set. I was there in 1969 for the wrong reason, but I would love to go back now.

there are many ways to do macro from cheap to expensive. for me on my D7200 the perfect lens is my Sigma 150mm macro. more reach on your ff camera. has the tri-pod collar which can be removed for hand held though I leave it on full time. it's actually hard to find a bad macro.
