Very nice. I've never seen nor heard of a Snail Kite. Thanks for the introduction. Interestingly, their claws seem perfectly suited for holding snails...as opposed to grasping and killing mammals, for example. Thanks for posting.

With nesting season underway, the Wood Ducks tend to be a bit less apt to flush, providing opportunities for close-ups. This handsome male seemed determined to stand his ground as I slowly walked by. Two weeks ago, he bolted upon sight at 50 yards. I love springtime.
