Keeping the camera dry is NOT the problem. Plenty of ways to keep the camera dry.
The PROBLEM will be keeping the mist OFF of the objective lens.
My suggestion is do whatever to keep the camera dry, any plastic bag or rain pancho will do that. Take an old cotton T-shirt and cut it into manageable pieces and keep them dry. You’ll need them to constantly dry the objective lens. Before EVERY shot if there is rain like mist. Keep the camera pointing down and cap on and only remove and point up to shoot. You might need to pre-set everything including the focus.
I’ve shot falls in Yosemite that I couldn’t shoot. Not because of getting the camera wet but because I can’t keep the water droplets off the objective lens, even with an extra long makeshift hood to get a usable shot.
Have a great trip and good luck!!!

Travel right, travel lite. My travel camera is a Sony HX90V with a 24-720 mm Zeiss T* lens. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=sony%20cyber-shot%20dsc-hx90v&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ps

I would never take a D850 to Rome. It is the pick pocket capital of the world. You will have it taken along with any lenses you take. YOU WILL STICK OUT LIKE A SOUR THUMB. BEWARE THE HANDS. You will never seem them until your stuff is gone. My Sony pocket stays in a belt pouch, much safer and I can get all the shots I want and hold my wife's hand.

Mid April we’re going to visit Italy (First time). We’re planning to stay three days in Rome, three days in Venice and three days in Florence. I have two cameras to choose from for the trip. Nikon D850, And Fuji X 100 F. Fuji would be easier, camera with fixed lens f/2 35 mm equivalent.

For Nikon I have 16-35 f4, 24-70 2.8, 35 1.8, 501.8 and 28-3003.5-5.6.

Any suggestions for a good combination of camera and lenses would be appreciated

Thanks

I was there this past summer. I had my D610 and one lens 24-70mm F2.8 That's all you need. I had no issues with anyone trying to steal my camera.

I am wondering how to determine the file size in Lightroom Classic for JPGs. The "export as" command doesn't give me a size option for jpg files and the files it generate are huge, like 20 MB. So I have to open again in Photoshop to resave at lower file size every time.

Out of curiosity when I use LR my RAW files are about 20 mb when I export as a jpeg my files are only about 5 to 6 mb. How are yours 20mb. I have LR set to file settings quality 100, no limit on file size, Image sizing the only thing highlighted is resolution 300

You may not be sore but you are indeed a LOSER. You obviously think so little of the police that you are quick to call them “ chicken shits”. Who are you going to call when someone tries to rape your daughter? Think the police that you are so quick to call “chicken shit” are going to want to help you, sad things is.. unlike you, they have the integrity and honor to do their jobs even for scum like you.

We are talking football here, don't change the subject. Really, you bring up rape.

They give the rest of you a bad name. Throwing full beer cans at Viking fans and then defacing their bus is not acceptable behavior. There are several restaurants in Minneapolis that will not serve Philly fans for that very reason.

I am sure there are just as many fans in Minneapolis that behave the same way. It just was not on the news. From what I read and saw they were poor losers. We are the best sports fans in the country and knowledgeable. We do acknowledge a team member from the opposing teams when they get hurt and they say they are ok we cheer them, I guess you don't see that on the news.

As a Vikings fan I cannot support the Eagles because of the miserable way they treated Viking fans during the championship game, and like most who live outside the New England area I detest the Patriots so here is my solution.

Yes I am an EAGLE FAN always have been and always will be. Your team had just as much of a chance to beat us but they lost. Your basing your comment on what the media puts out there. Yes there are a few idiots out there who are out of line but there are millions of fans here who are all good and love there Philly teams. Every city in this country has a few idiots that do crazy things during sporting events so don't forget about them to.

We will beat the Patriots and I will be at the parade along with 2 or 3 million other great Eagles Fans. Was that nice enough for you.

I have a MeFoto Roadtrip tripod and use a BlackRapid strap. Is there a plate that will accommodate both without switching back and forth?

I have a MeFoto Roadtrip and use a Black Rapid Strap. I have left the Arca Swiss Plate on the Roadtrip and have a Manfrotto #323 Quick Change Plate Attach the Receiving end of the Manfrotto plate to the Arca Plate and there you have it. Works well. I have this quick change plate system on two different camera bodies and monopods and tripods. Never a problem.

Coach17, happens with mine all the time. I sometimes have to take a second shot for my flashes to fire. It seems the first shot wakes them up and the second one puts me back in business. That could be what's happening here.

Thanks Tom
