I noticed that when I select Hibernate at shut down, my keyboard stays lit. I use an Azio keyboard with illuminated keys. I usually shut off power to the computer completely, so I never noticed it before. Hibernate supposedly "Turns off the PC..."
I know that Sleep maintains power to the computer because the lights inside remain lit, as well as the fan indicator lights.
Any comments?

I have Windows 10. I use 'Sleep' all the time and the keyboard lights go out every time. We know 'Sleep' maintains power because memory is not lost.

Iceland is extremely scenic, you can take great pictures at every turn. I recommend 14-24 and 24-70 or equivalent. Do not forget ND filters if you like waterfalls.

You were very lucky. I see many photos in your album with bright sunny days. Some friends and I were in Iceland for 2 weeks in October 2018. If you add up all the hours of sunny sky that we had, it wouldn't fill up a day. Hardly any green. So much gray and brownish-yellow. But we did get to see the Northern Lights.
My favorite is a walk in the country in the Cotswolds.

Are you sure about this? If you read the Terms of Use, this is one of the rules:
"Each customer may register for one and only one membership."
I've been using Nikon Image Space for a few years. I use it to display my tour photography to share with all the people who were on the tour. I have run out of space and hate to take previous trips off in case people want to still view the images.
I do not like Canon's Irista website because you have to share each person and then they have to register for an account on Irista. With Nikon Image Space, all I have to do is email the web site URL for my album to each of the people on the tour..... No passwords, no accounts to sign up for.
I don't understand. Every Nikon camera I have purchased came with a printed manual (and I have several Nikon, and only Nikon, cameras). Do other manufacturers not include a printed manual?
Those who advise check before you shoot are advising the obvious. The problem is for those who are distracted and forgetful (me). My first shot out of the camera bag is usually good because for some reason it is automatic to check the settings in the viewfinder. The problem is my forgetfulness as I go along and take more photos. I am shooting landscape photography the vast amount of times and it's easy to forget as I move from sunlight to shade and back.
Last weekend, on one of my hikes, I was trying to shoot some butterflies. Not only forgetfulness frustrated me, but the speed from shot to shot because of the resistance of the butterflies to stay in one place, was a challenge for me.
Because the vast majority of my photography is landscape, I have a CP on all my lenses. I have had 2 of the filters broken when my camera has been in the overhead bin on airplanes. There was no damage to the lenses and the lens cap was on the camera in both situations. The filters are all Nikon branded for Nikon cameras.

foxfirerodandgun, we are from the same neck of the woods. I'm near Mansassas. It was not only cold and windy for the moon eclipse... it was extremely cold and windy (for VA). My thermometer said 12 degrees, and with the wind that we had, the wind chill surely was way below zero. The wind was so bad, I had a hard time keeping my camera and tripod from swaying. I have a Lenovo with i5 processor and Win 10. This happens to me intermittently when I open a JPEG with the Windows included program "Photos". I also use ASeeDSee and Photoshop frequently to open JPEG's, but never had the problem occur with them. It only occurs on Windows "Photos".
