Todays representative for Tongue Out Tuesday will be a Great Egret Chick. Wakodahatchee Wetlands Sony a1, Sony 600f4 @ f4, 1/800 sec. iso 3200. Overcast and taken in shade so I used Auto this time with no exposure compensation.
A few weeks ago down at the marsh to try some new settings after a firmware update. Not much going on, but decided to watch this Snowy for a few minutes. Settings seem to be fine.
As I entered the auto route circling the main marsh area of Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, I encountered several photo ops that made it clear that my days of hand-holding the beast (A1 and 600mm lens with 2X tc) and getting sharp shots were over. When I had the car or a large amount of time, I could get shots in focus. Otherwise, a monopod is in my future. Thankfully, I also had my A9 and a 100 - 400 mm lens with a 1.4 tc. That enabled quick reaction and closer shots to work.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.

All three are in (MHO) perfect focus w/o being over-sharpened (if sharpened at all). Nothing is overdone at all, as 1 & 2 are very good! However, #3 is excellent. Smile, JimmyT Sends Bravo Zulu
