I received an unsolicited email through my SmugMug page from a sales representative of Wall Craftz (https://wallcraftz.com) asking if I'd be interesting in licensing any of my photos with them. Has anyone know of or worked with this company? Thanks.

the contract defines type of use as pretty much everything, so all of the above plus provide to media if requested. Photographer does receive credit in all cases.

The visitor’s bureau of a California County wants to purchase one of my photos to use in marketing efforts. I retain rights, but they can use any way they want, send to media, etc. what to charge in a situation like this? Photo is about a year old. Anyone here have a similar experience? Thanks in advance for help.

thanks all for the help. Image was cropped in Lightroom and will be uploaded to my SmugMug site and available to print. It slightly cuts off if printed at 4x6 so I want to resize the cropped photo (tiff) so it can fit into the common sizes. I can crop the original at 3x2 but there are some areas that still need to be cropped.

I have a finished Little League team photo that has been cropped. How do I resize the cropped photo so that all of the players will fit into a print of 4x6 or 5x7? Thanks!

always check the lens to see if AF is on. I've made that mistake. Also give back button focus a shot. See what you think.

I rented the Canon 300 2.8 version 3 several times and loved it, but ended up buying the first non-IS version for $1,800 and it's by far my sharpest lens for sports.

check out the Amazon Basics camera sling bag. Less than $25. I use it as my 300mm 2.8 carry bag and it easily fits your specs.

I loved using Aperture and it's organizational structure and hesitated until earlier this year to finally give it up and go to Lightroom. Aperture was just becoming too buggy in Mojave and when I got a Canon 5D Mark IV, Aperture wouldn't read the RAW files and so the time was right to switch. It's a process, but I'm finally to the point where I've figured out how to replace the Aperture Projects structure with Collections. It took a while to discern the difference between the Library panel and Collections and where and how master photos are stored (don't move anything on your hard drive!) and Lightroom, though not perfect, really does work a lot better and I love getting it regularly updated.

there probably won't be another trip until November or so, but if you want to be notified when a boat is scheduled to go out, you can get on the mailing list here.
