Other than the arm was sore for a day or two longer than a flu shot. Neither shot caused any problems for the wife or myself. We got the Pfizer.
The wife and I were going to head there to catch the Sandhills, but things kept popping up that got in the way.
Great pic, last time we were there they were so numerous they looked like they were stumbling over each other.
When I saw that yesterday in my paper I thought to myself "self, you should put that on UHH" The second thought was, "No, Jerry probably will". Nailed it.
Caught him this morning while sitting at my desk. Not one of my best, but taken through the window. Enjoying the birds (starlings excepted) we've got a lot of downy and red-bellied woodpeckers and now and then a pileated
stops by.
We have one of our bird feeders near the window in the "office" at home. Starlings will hang upside down at the suet feeder but prefer the seeds. Most of the time if they are feeding on the ground they will mingle with the other birds. Seems that the other birds will leave when the blue jays stop in.
Nothing new about the dilution. When I worked in clinics some of the meds would come in concentrated form, you just put in the correct liquid required and go on about your business. If somebody was getting a series of injections it would be ID just for them.
I remember seeing this a few times. After active duty I went into the reserves, while trained in Logistics (POL), I had to spend some time as a FDO in a 155 (towed) battery. Remember getting my butt chewed during an inspection because I was helping to plot (we were about 3 people short in our section). Told that my only job was to sit in the chair and supervise, that lasted until the inspector left. As a maverick (E6 when I went to the "dark" side") I always felt it was my responsibility to learn as much as I could about the jobs the enlisted had that were under my control. Never got to Ft. Sill learned OJT.
A couple of those places look familiar. I avoid that area this time of year, there are too many other places just as good and less crowded.
Let's see. microwave, kitchen clock, coffee pot, stove, bathroom clock, two alarm clocks, my watch, her watch, my truck, her car, and the workshop clock. 11 total. I also wish Indiana would pick one or the other and stay there.
But Terry's world was a round disc, not a flat square.
I work for a city park system, that looks like one of ours. If you don't lock it, it gets stolen. Go figure.
I was talking about this the other day with the guy who owns the station down the street. His profit on a gallon is about 3 cents. Our fuel is controlled by Chicago, I can drive an hour or so south and the gas is controlled by Louisville KY and on average 15 to 20 cents cheaper. Add on to that, Indiana added 10 cents per gallon "for the roads". Yeah right.
Have you ever been over to Goose Pond (Greene County)? There should be a boatload of them and other birds passing through.
They seem to be on the move, we've had a couple of flocks fly over our area (15 miles east of Greenfield) and flocks were seen NE of Greenfield feeding on the ground. Nice pictures.
