Thanks again for the feedback. One more addition to what I had asked B&H before purchasing the 2 - 430EX-II's:
You have been connected to xxxxx at B&H.
ME : This question is with respect to the Canon 430EX II Speedlite. I have the 600EX RT speedlite, and also an ST E3-RT transmitter, which I'm very happy with. I understand the 430EX II can work in slave mode, but I want to be sure that isn't ONLY optically. I'll want any, and all 430's to slave off of RT. Does the 430 all RT slaving? Thanks.
xxxxx: Hello. My name is xxxx and I will be glad to assist you. Please give me a few moments to begin working on your inquiry.
xxxxx: You can set the 430EX II to slave mode and the all slave off the RT.
Me: I thought that's what the description eluded to, but I've had problems strobe slaving in bright conditions and wanted to make sure. Thanks.
So did I pose the question incorrectly to the B&H assistant?
Thank you rpavich. I can put these three manuals down, and relax.
But isn't the ST-E3-RT, an upgraded wireless unit?
I purchased Canon's ST-E3-RT Transmitter, and the 600EX-RT. Both work great, and I'm very happy with them. Later I wanted a couple more Lites, and confirmed the 430EX II's can trigger wirelessly too. However, I can't figure out how to get the transmitter to trigger them. I suppose I could optically slave the 430's off of the 600 (triggered from the transmitter) when the conditions are right, but I wanted all three lites to trigger wirelessly from the ST-E3-RT.
Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.
The rice trick apparently works for cell phones.
I have a Canon 5D MII, with the Canon 2.8 70-200 lens. Here is an example picture.

I'm pleased to read all of these replies. Happy Sabbath B&H. Welcome to the group robartphoto. I haven't read a post like this before on the UHH.
My first post. Thanks for the Lesson concept. I hope I'm attaching my files correctly.
