Today you would pay at least $20 to buy and develop a 36 exposure roll of color film. IMHO there is no greater bargain for photographers today to have the latest Lightroom, Photoshop and bridge at you disposal 24/7.

I have two D750's. They are amazing. Focusing on being a better photographer. I see no need to change.

I have been to Africa. Only take two lens. Do not change lens in the field. You need the 400 or longer on one body. Forget tripod and make a "sandbag" once there. You will love Africa.

A gift certificate at your local camera store. I would not want anyone choosing a camera for me.

10 dollars a month. What did a 36 exposure roll of film cost? How much was processing it? Adjusted for inflation it would be more than 10 dollars. Spend a little time at YouTube University and you will be a LR master.

I’m amazed at the number of responses my ordinal message created. I appreciate everyone’s comments and poin of view. However my major point is a simple one that really hasn’t been addressed. With the incredible hardships US owners have had to endure recently would you rather spend your money locally supporting them or send it off shore to a communist country?

Forget Communism vs Capitalism. Good people are everywhere. What you will be missing if you go to Cuba instead of the US. In Cuba there are no homeless people, no one sleeping on the street. No racism. No shootings, little crime.

You had better food in Cuba than in France, Italy, China or Japan?

planning a possible trip for the end of the year.
I have never been there, and would love to have your impressions.
I would be booking an Airbnb room and checking out local day photographing workshops.
Please give me any tips you can.
One last thing i would be going solo and the possible safety factor is always an issue.
thanks
I would be flying out of sfo

Very safe anytime day or night. Happy music loving people. Very little crime. Guns not allowed so now one gets shot. (who knew?) The only danger is not paying the ladies in bright costumes for photo ops that are working for tips. You will a nasty look.

I am serious. When you finish editing you "save as JPG" by using the export option. In Export you select save to same file as original, and check save in sub folder. Great way to have all edited photos in a sub folder under the originals. You can also have LR do additional renaming if so desired.

In LR right click on the edited photo and you can select "Show in Folder (Finder)" Then when composing email use that folder. LR has no photos, it only catalogs where the photo is located. No need to create an additional copy.

Many are confused about affect and effect. What is the effect of calling someone a moron?
