Great shots, sure makes the case for "doin' what ya gotta do".
Fantastic set. I gotta wonder how that guy breathes during the swallowing process!!
Great shots!! Your capture says volumes about a paired Canon 70-200 2.8 and 2X
Beautiful. My best buddy and I worked on his when I was stationed at Carswell AFB, Texas in 1962 (I think it was a 1956 model). I recall how maintenance on these British-built 'motors' was a never ending labor of love, but a real kick to cruise the boulevards.
Ah, yes... you got it this time Jim. The softer look is good in most portrait applications. God bless and keep up the good work.

I love the camera too. It works exceptionally well with my new 100-400 mk2 ,almost as well as with the 5d3, and in addition I get the boost to 540mm.
I have a video from National Geographic by Joel Sartore on Photography Fundamentals. That was one of his pet peeves...the stick from the head thing. That said, it's sometimes difficult to make the clean shot. Your pretty model should be very happy with the corrected photo.

Went to a concert last night ... ISO 6400 F2.8 Canon 70D with the 70-200 2.8 .. any thoughts appreciated
I like the shot Jim, but use the PP software you have to remove the mike stand coming out of the gals hat. My 70d begins to have noise issues by ISO 6400 too (in the dark background).
Very nice Regis, especially #2. I think the last time I got stung by one of these guys it seemed about this size, actual size...LOL, well maybe I wasn't into laughing at the moment!! John
You'll love the 'new' GAS attack toy. To celebrate my 78th, I bought a two month old 'used' Canon 100-400 mk 2; that makes a perfect combination with my 70d. AFMA has it spot on for focus and it makes a perfect setup for nature work. Enjoy. John
Love it, brings back great memories of when I lived in Montana. None here in MN.
Great photos. Mmm...such color and clarity; your lucky to have all that bird-life in the backyard. White is still pretty much the dominant color in the far north; more last night.

I liked #1 the chickadee it is detailed and very good. If this is a trial run your in for a great ride.
Thanks, it's rather easy to get the chickadee pics off the back deck; the hard part is to get the catch-light off their eyeball as they are hyper birds and constantly moving. The lens is super fast at focusing and works very well on high speed multiple shooting.

Definitely not into sharing are they?
Yeah, lots of squawking, screeching and inter-family rivalry.
Thanks for looking, yes i was lucky to have the right tools at the right time.
