Hey Brock, I dont know if this is what your problem is or not, but I did a google search and found this ….I guess it is worth a try....

It's a setting.
When using an Ais lens with cpu, as the OP's lens is, it can be used in two ways - either by using the dials for the aperture setting or using the Aperture ring for setting aperture.
The fEE error means, that the camera does not read a "Minimum Aperture position". It's needed when (and only when) you have set the camera to use the (front, normally) dial to set the aperture. To make the camera read that "Minimum Aperture Position" the lens have to be set (and locked, if there is a lock") at the minimum aperture - case solved.
If the camera is setup to use the Aperture ring, there will be no way, the fEE error will occur.
How to set the one or another?:
On the D750 it's the f5 in the user menu - "Customize command dials". Go to Aperture Setting and select the setting you want - "Sub command dial" (ON) or "Aperture Ring" (OFF) - use the OK button to confirm.

You guys will most likely cream me but I’ll try anyway. I purchased a Nikkor 105 Macro for my D750 and upon mounting it I got the EE and decided I just burned some money only after reading the manual I went to the menu on the camera in the setup menu (non-CPU LENS) and was prompted to enter the focal length and max aperture. Then it worked as it should. Guess it sometimes pays for me to read the manual. Now I just hope I can remember that the Nikkor 105 is Lens #1.

I recommend making the house ready for photographs. After all, not all have the best housekeeping habits or interior design capabilities and one should reduce or remove clutter so buyers will be able to see what can be done to the property. HDR may or may not be needed based on the camera used. No camera has the dynamic range of the human eye and surely you would want to represent what the human eye would see.

Hello guys
I’m going to try too get away from photographic lingo since I believe most people concerned with these issues don’t yet comprehend what photographers are saying - it’s like speaking a different language. To start with say you are looking at a scene and you want to take a picture. You have five people in the scene. You have one lenses a zoom 70-200 FX and you have 2 cameras a DX (crop camera) and a FX (full frame or FF). (note this lenses works on both cameras). You pick up the DX and look through the view finder and see all five people from where you are standing. You don’t want all five in the picture so you get closer so only 3 people are in the picture, take the picture, NOW you pick up the FX camera put the lense on it and without moving or changing the zoom you will see more people then you desire so you will have to zoom in OR move even closer to only see 3 people in the picture, take the picture. The picture will be the same with either camera. The only difference in the cameras is how much of the scene will you see in the picture at the same zoom setting. The FX WILL SEE MORE OF THE SCENE NOTHING ELSE CHANGES!! unless you change it and the crop factor is how much more the FX see of the scene. It’s like the FX has a bigger peep hole to look through then the DX does.

I was reading a little about that and I still need a little more info about DX and FF cameras.

I have a Nikon D3400 with the kit lens 18-55mm, is that a real 18-55mm effect with my camera or do I have to multiply for 1,5?

Do I have to multiply all lenses for 1,5 or only those that are made for FF?

Probably something very easy but I'm a little confused 🤣

Thanks

Stop and think, a 24MP DX, a24MP FF. you crop the FF to get same image as the DX. Now you have 2 images that are the same size, a 25MP DX image and a cropped FF image with less then 24MP because it was cropped. Which has the highest resolution or MP? Simple math!!

Oops forgot the D750 is FF format. Sorry about that. But it does make my D90 shine.

I fully agree with woodyd regarding misrepresentation. However, “when in Rome do as Romans do”. As a past engineering student with some exposure to optics I always felt that longer focal lengths resulted in greater magnification and greater resolution of the subject. This is only true with images that can not be copied and further manipulated. In photography one can take a image with a given magnification and resolution and “crop” it. This gives an appearance of greater magnification, however the resolution does not change and soon you get pixilation of the image. One reason birders like DX formats is that the image is spread over a greater number of pixels even though it is a more narrow angle of view. This gives rise to another deception put on us. Some of us know it but don’t take issue with it. That is that a FF format does not have the same resolution a DX format has with the same MP. A DX sensor of 20 megapixels has the same resolution of a FF 30 megapixel sensor. One reason birders prefer them. Why is this true ? A FF sensor has a larger angle of view so it needs more pixels to have the same resolution. So much for the 36MP cameras!! Not any better then my D750 24MP when it comes to capturing and image resolution.

Charles, my advise is to look for a good used DJI Phantom Vision 2+. You should be able to find one in the $200-300 price range. They are only 3-4 years old and many have very low hours. They are GPS guided have excellent camera with 3 way humble, about 18 minutes flight time, return home, course lock, home lock and mmany more features. I have used one for taking pictures of real estate. If you get in a panic mode you just let go of the sticks and the drone will just stop and hover in the same spot till you recover your thoughts. Dry easy to fly. Original price was about $1100. I have one I would sell for $250 plus shipping including a customized case
