Too many say send it out. Most cleaning can be done by the owner. Buy a sensor cleaning kit and follow many online tutorials how to do this. Do you really want to send it in with shipping both ways and trust the body will not be dropped or mishandled. Not to mention the time. I have been cleaning my bodies for years now and have never had an issue. But I depend on myself and do not have deep pockets.

Mistreatment of the camera will not be covered under warranty. Even if the battery door was good I doubt the rest of the camera is very weather resistant. A camera like this I would not carry this in my pants pocket. Maybe a button shirt pocket would be better. Can't blame Sony for this at all.

I do not agree with the term "over photoshopped" as it all comes down to photographer vision on how they wish to present their work. I don't compare my work to others as it is my own and don't care how my peers see it. My style is representing me and my vision how I see the world around me. Being American has nothing to do with it. My work would be the same if I was Any nationality. Art/photography has no nationality. However some nations in the past tried to control this by book burning, banning certain subjective things etc. That is more government and less nationality in my opinion.

Tell them if they want unobtrusive they can buy a print of it and look at it all they want. I don't get those who comment like that. They are usually just negative personalities that have nothing good to say and bitch about anything. A watermark has nothing to do with the image but they can't seem to look past it. Maybe they have nothing of their own worth watermarking.

great set!!!!! The phone poll in stone house bothers me. Your composition in all is outstanding.

Yes I could clone it out but then there are wires ans such to also remove so I opted to leave it as is. I also could of cropped it but still had the wires to deal with. I also prefer to leave most of my images true to what it is.

Happy New Year fellow hoggers. May 2020 be your best yet. I posted some of my personal favorites of the past two months shooting. Been a tough Winter as we had a black Christmas and very little snow to speak up. Temps have been more Fall like with days in the 40's not uncommon. Usually 20's would be a warm day here in NE Iowa.

I have three Canon's
I do not use their batteries and have had no problem with off brand, ever, in ten plus years.
Canon charges too much for having their name printed on products like that.
Who knows where they source their batteries. Might be the same source.

Bingo. This comes up far too often here. Use what you want. Me I will save the money to buy gas for my car. You others that will use nothing but name brand come off a little uppity about it as if to justify you have been duped out of 30 bucks.

I see in color and is what I want to see in most images. As far as the soul of an image being revealed in bw not so much for me. It is up to the photographer to give an image "soul" color or black and white.

Some of last centuries photographers mentioned above had little choice but to shoot in black and white as color was either not an option or was not affordable to use much. Nor could they develop the color as easy as they could black and white.

The first one has more interest imo. My eye followed the railing and jumped onto the freeway and led me into the city.

Vignette looks fine to me. I see no real horizon as water in small ponds such as this may appear crooked but in reality are not. Trees look as straight as they can be. I too saw the eye-like look and it is framed quite well. You did 👍.

It appears you are looking for validation to justify spending a large sum of money for something you may not need. All specs are online and most of the videos you profess to have watched should contain the answers to your questions. If you can afford it then buy it, I am sure you will not be disappointed with the camera as it is great in low light and can deliver great images if the operator knows composition. If it is going to drain your financial resources then don't.

The last few years have seen hotter summers and wetter winters. It could be that birds have adapted their range a little bit. Most insect species (Bird food) are very good barometers of local temperature ranges...being mobile they do move out of an area that doesn't suit them. When they plant lots of rapeseed in our area the yellow fields create air turbulence and actually reduce local rainfall. So we get the tiny beetles that love rapeseed but a lot less bees, butterflies and wasps. They just bugger off for greener pastures.

Aircraft and Aluminum spray?......sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.

Have fun

Maybe but seriously can we continue to leave jet exhaust in the atmosphere with no repercussions?

And why does it even bother you? What is right to you is not to others. SOOC does not exist. Many of us shoot RAW and raw images are flat needing processing. SOOC means jpeg quality processed by the camera and a total lack of control on your images.

And my message to the critical people who want rules imposed on all, be a little more tolerant of opposing views and less critical of their work. This will have a lasting impression. It may not be how you would have took it or processed it and that is fine because it is an art, stop trying to clone others into yourself.

This is what I have found to be fulfilling for me and what I enjoy presenting to others. It is my view of the landscapes I have visited. Who is to say what is right or wrong. Many past artists, photographers included, pushed the acceptable limits of their time. They pressed on no matter the voices telling them they were wrong. The definition of limit is "a point or level beyond which something does not or may not extend or pass." Limits choke and restrain creativity and with them all works would be the same. Want to really succeed in photography? Go beyond the acceptable limits and see where it leads.

I see hear and read so many photographers making crap of images they see. I have to wonder about their reasons for doing this and why they just can't accept those images as another persons view of how they see the world. Some of these photographers are trying to sell photo workshops and they sell their style as the preferred way of doing things. They sell these shops to people wanting to shoot like they do and in essence they become a clone of them. They are missing out on their own journey

If it concerns you don't use it. Cards are cheap. As far as never removing the card from the camera I do it all the time and never have a problem. I don't understand why you would use the slower method of transferring files through the camera. Why use battery, WiFi or cables to do this? Teathered to a computer is an accident waiting to happen and a broken cable connection could cost you more. I would rather risk the card than the camera. To each their own. I also find file transfer is faster without the camera.
