When you go to home, you have three choices, live a middle choice and then your library. It’ll either be in your middle choice or the library.

I used to get quite a lot every day from on my landline. But when we dumped that and only use our cell phones, I hardly get any anymore. Unfortunately, most of the time when I do get them it’ll tell me that it’s a spam call. Or a telemarketer. And if I don’t know the phone number, I just don’t answer. The others I block not sure that does any good though.

How about eliminating the general non-photography chit chat forum? It has absolutely no relevance here. Th3 dialogue spirals into nonsense pretty fast. Me, I’m looking for photography insights here.

I agree with some of the others. If you don’t like it, don’t read it you don’t have to press the link to read it. Personally, I like it and it’s the primary one I look at, especially like the music and the jokes.

Last night after an outing to see Christmas lights, we stopped at Steak & Shake. At the "new" versions of the restaurants, over half the menu is gone, one must order from a kiosk, no waiters, no condiments on the tables, only three employees, dirty tables, etc.

Note to self: Never, ever eat at Steak & Shake again. It used to be one of my favorite so-called fast food places to eat. Quote the raven, nevermore (apologies to E.A.Poe).

Wes, I’m going inside for all the same reasons plus they don’t use glass plates anymore but we still go through the drive-through mainly just to get a hamburger and chocolate milkshake

It's funny. Of all the pictures that my Mom took of me (she was "the one" that got me into photography) from birth on, she never took a picture of my favorite bicycle or my first car. I'd always wished that I had both, but...
Long story short, I ran across this (taken from the internet) not too long ago and it was like seeing an old friend. On my limited budget I was able to buy some "Port-O-Walls" (from J.C. Whitney") and I always had "pine tree" deodorizers hanging from the rear view mirror. This is identical to mine right down to the "not very shiny" grill. Stick six and three on the tree and it didn't burn much oil. I had the skirts, but liked it better without. Fun times!!

This is their one-minute commercial.

Not a word is spoken and none is needed.

That was a very good commercial reminded me a little bit of Publix commercials.

I have to ask. What would you prefer in terms of our clocks? The current system, in my opinion, is absolutely ridiculous. Politicians are trying to decide when and if they should do something, but they don't know what to do. They seem to be leaning toward year-round DST.

This is not something that should be determined by public opinion. According to science and medical studies, permanent DST would be a bad idea. The best approach would be to live on "Normal Time." I don't think we'll be seeing that in my lifetime, though.

Opinions?

I agree with you won’t be happening in my lifetime. I was thinking maybe what I have to do is when we’re not on daylight savings time instead of going to full hours of school half an hour, then don’t ever change that.

I drive a fairly new Porsche 911. It has a button that if I keep it off it will turn the engine off automatically at stoplights. I like it to do that on my wife for first love to do that so I have the button on when she is in the car.

I tried it and it worked for me! (I was born in 1936 and my age is 87 = 2023)!

I will be seventy November 19. I was born 1953. So if I apply my 1953+70 that’s 2023 but I am currently not 70 as I am 69 which comes out to 2022.

Fillmore East 1970. Perhaps the greatest guitar performance of all time. Don't know it it's true or not, but I read where Bill Graham, the owner of the Fillmore got on Jimi's case about too much showmanship and not being serious about his guitar playing. This was Jimi's reaction to that. Notice how restrained he is visually. The very next set at the Fillmore, Jimi stuck his tongue out at Graham and went right back to his usual showmanship.

I’m happy I got to see him and Janis Joplin a couple times. One concert with Jenna. She got arrested in Tampa for cussing out the cops with all the young people try to jump up on the stage.
