I have one of those with a similar kit in my closet...was my 1st real camera. I remember when I was switching to digital...was wishing I could find a digital K-1000...didn't want all those extra options. Occasionally I will think of getting rid of it...check ebay for pricing and figure it's not worth the effort. Since then and several Nikon bodies later I wound up with the D500...and I have adjusted to all 'extra options'.

Many thanks for all the responses. I did go to the DataColor website and do a search...no matches for my symptoms. Guess I will go back and open up a chat or workorder or whatever they have. I just don't want to buy a monitor or calibrator if it won't fix my problem. Thanks again!!

Been using the Spyder5 Express to calibrate my Dell U2412M for several years. Now when it is Measuring...Refining White Point...It gives me the error code= CalibrateG.IterateWP-SetWhiteointLUT returned err=999

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Spyder software several times, updated the monitor driver, reset monitor settings to factory. How can I tell if my Spyder5 is defective or if the monitor isn't working properly or something else? I really don't want to spend $200 for a new calibrator if that isn't the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Google hasn't helped so far.

I did a 10 day touristy photography type trip to Vermont last year. I flew from Texas and rented a car while there. Figured it was a one time trip so I took way too much photo gear including the 70-200 and 200-500. As it turned out I used my D500 and 18-140 for 99 percent of my shots. Also used my tripod and a polarizer filter a fair amount. I could have saved myself a lot of worry and grief if I traveled lighter photography wise. I was extremely happy with the photos taken on the trip.

Just stepped outside...sure enough...lunar eclipse is happening. Too bad the mosquitoes are thriving after all the heavy rains recently.

When the plastic mount on my Nikon 18-105 broke...I was wanting a refurb 18-140 in a hurry. Only one I found was at Adorama and would have taken a week to receive. Went to Amazon where Abe's had a new gray market 18-140 for about the same price. Really didn't want to deal with Abe's but was needing the lens that weekend. I figured with Amazon's 30 day return policy and 2 day shipping I placed the order. Worked out great for me. Probably wouldn't deal with them with a more expensive item.

I've been receiving this commercial lately on my computer...has anyone tried to use it? It appears to sell the major Adobe software without subscriptions. Probably a scam...just curious???

I have a hard enough time finding my sd cards...those micro sd's are just too tiny...and then you have to fool with the adapters. I do have both...no choice but the micros in drones and tablets.

I used this lens for years...on a D50, D90, D7000 and D7100. I loved the range...50 to 500 was awesome...and at the time it was the 'best bang for the buck' to get to 500mm. For me it was pretty much a tripod lens since it didn't have 'Optic Stabilization'. When I did my part the lens would deliver. After the lens was well out of warranty...it developed some play in the barrel. I sent it in to Sigma for a quote...never got the quote...but they returned the lens in like new condition...no charge. Since then I've moved on to the Nikon D500 with the 200-500. That was before Sigma came out with the 60 to 600 which would have been tempting.

I recently needed to replace my trusty well used old Nikkor 18-105 with the 18-140. Needing the lens for the following weekend I went to Amazon for the 2 day shipping and 30 day no question return policy. Amazon had the grey market version of the lens from Abe's for about the same price as refurbs from B&H etc.. Bought the lens with no problems and it works great. That said I would not take the chance with a more expensive lens or body from Abe's with no warranty.

Nikon D800, D850 and D500 (possibly more)

1 Press the Live View Button
2 Press the Info button (grid appears)
3 Press OK (Exposure Scale appears at the right)
4 Press the Info button (histogram appears)

Please note that when using one of these cameras in the P mode the camera will adjust all the time resulting in possible wear and tear. All the other modes are w/o issue.

Cool...Learned something new today...Works on my D500
