Quantum Turbo batteries are excellent work horse batteries for wedding as well as other photographers. I used a pair of them to run the SB-900 Nikon flashes for wedding work. Always had two cameras near me to shoot essential bread and butter ceremony shots and a third with a long fast lens for distance work. I never depleted my Quantum batteries while working even the longest weddings. I also like the quantum flash units, they were great for mini studio setups, but bulkier than Nikon units so preferred the Nikon for on camera work. With the Quantum battery, it was possible to get that second shot, a split second after the first, that looked better than the first pic, and the flash still fired full power, and lit the scene! A testament to the high power feed from the Turbo battery. Also good to power flash units if doing in studio stacking pics, though check the flash temp, do not want to overheat a flash.

Try a longer lens. The amount of extension with your rig with the micro set at infinity may still be magnifying beyond what is needed. So a crop is ocurring?

Fascinating images.

An inexpensive way to achieve accurate steps is to mount a dial indicator onto the rail so that you can read movements as small as 0.001 inch or .01mm. Then you know exactly how much travel your camera makes before each exposure. A poor mans stepper motor rail! The advantage is consistency in results and repeatability in the future.

Well done, amazing detail for handheld. Was it also a stack of shots? Looks like so much depth it needs multiple images.

Was your five shot stack of images taken from one camera position, then use the focus ring to go from near to far, or did you use the focus rail to move your complete rig fore and aft to get five images of slightly different focus depths? It looks like all five were taken from the same position with no focus change or position change. Or maybe you just used way to small of increments?

The simple sharpen tool will work globally, then use an unsharpen tool with a small brush and de-sharpen the grass so it does not draw the eye so much, just a thought?

If CS6 is still available for sale, then it's probably there on the Adobe website to download a trial version for Mac. Just download the trial version, and when it's installed on your Mac, use your activation code from the CS6 pack you own. Make sure you have the long activation code before you go through all this trouble. If you do, I'm sure it will work.

Adobe stopped offering CS6 photoshop a couple years after they started the leasing scheme. But maybe if I can find a mac copy on ebay I can try to use my legal activation code? Might be worth a try? Thanks for the idea jeepD.

I take it then you have a Mac, but no previous version of PS on it?

That is correct. My previous versions would not be compatable with current macs. My current macs will not load the old programs. So I need a stand alone mac version.

A fellow teacher friend of mine worked for many years using Elements, and he upgraded too. But when he sat down next to my computer, and saw CS4 (this is a few years ago), he was blown away. So I understand what you are saying.

Please forgive me for asking, and I've received a number of private messages about my CS5, but I don't remember. Are you one who could use the CS5?

I need the full version of cs5. I am the guy who owns the full cs6 for windows but need cs 5 or cs6 for the mac. It would be great if someone needed my windows version and could trade a mac version to me.

Olson, I don't know that your plan is going to be granted by Adobe.

My thought is that anyone who had an iMac, with CS4 or similar on it, this would be a very economical way to upgrade to CS5. And as far as CS6, when I considered upgrading to CS6, I found that nearly all of the new features in CS6 were for those shooting video, which I do not do. So it would be CS5 for me, or PSCC, but why would I begin to rent Photoshop when my paid CS5 does everything I want, plus a lot more.

That is my sentiment exactly Elliot. I would be satisfied with either CS6 or CS5. Why pay the toll every month for basic services? I have elements, 15 and new one too. Just feel Elements cannot do as well as PS used to do for me. I loved the brushes and effects that full blown PS did so well.

I am interested, though I do not have a recent photoshop program for MAC. I think my last official program was CS or Cs2 which will not work with current operating systems. I would love to have either CS5 or 6 for my current I-mac computer. Funny, because I have an official CS6 pack for windows that I legally own, registered to my name with Adobe, but no longer have a PC. If there is any way you can help me here I would really appreciate it! Your asking price is no problem.

Love the mood. How would it look if you toned down the bright area some on her bosum?
