If you are talking about the default wallpapers they reside in "C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\".

If you set the File Explorer to "Large Icon" you can see the image instead of the file name.

If you right click on an image and do a "Save As" you can then direct the image to what ever folder on the PC you want. Then you can got to that folder to find the image and right click on it and then click on "Set as Desktop Background". Hope this helps.

Most people want to go to Disney World or Universal Studios to get their "Worlds Fix". I prefer Kennedy Space Center. I don't know about most folks but I seem to get dust in my eyes viewing every exhibit. It is a wonderful experience for all ages. The oldsters like me are still in awe of the accomplishments of NASA that have occurred during our lifetime and the kids that I see there are just opened mouthed with the size and majesty of the whole place. I have always worried that our "totally connected" children of today will not find the idea of exploring space as significant as we did, but after seeing the looks on their faces and hearing the comments from them I am no longer worried.

This is a great way to stay cool in the Florida heat.

Nice photographs. My granddaughter just told me they had gone to some kind of a pickle fest back there. I think she tried a pickle wrapped in bacon. What a waste of good bacon to me.

Everything goes better with bacon. Don't knock it till you try it!

Jonclaton, thanks for the tips. I've looked at our itinerary and everything you mentioned was on it. You didn't mention Lunenburg. It has a very interesting history complete with British deception of Germans, so that those deceived would build the British a fort. Also, the church of St. John's in Lunenburg has a chancel with stars that are purposed to be the night sky in Lunenburg on Christmas Eve when Jesus was born. A difficult photo shot, but this time I'm bringing my tripod. Lunenburg is a really interesting place, including the Bluenose fishing and racing schooner from 1921.

Enough if that. It sounds like our itineraries are very similar. We were there a couple of years ago when our cruise ship docked in a couple of the ports and we decided that there was so much to see that we would go back. So we will be on the road for three weeks and because we have our own wheels, we can go where we want.

I only hope that my photos look anything like yours.

One last question. I the ON1 Photo similar to Lightroom? If not, do you know how they differ? Is one better at some aspect of photo editing than the other?

Thanks.

Bass Fiddle,

I have not used Lightroom. I have a old version of Photoshop Elements and another system from Adobe for Videos. I found the ON1 software and they were having a sale when I bought it, I do a lot with RAW (NEF) and read some good reviews of ON1 and so I bought it. I have just re-started doing a lot of photography using digital after many years of analog (film) photography. I am getting ready to retire and decided I wanted to get back into photography. I used to work as a photojournalist in the late 70's early 80's and also had a studio in south Florida back then. I got out of journalism and have been working with computers for the last 35 years. Enjoy your trip, my wife and I are planning an extended trip back to NS also.

Jonclaton - nice shots indeed.

In a couple of weeks, I will be driving through Nova Scotia for two weeks then up to Prince Edward Island and over to Quebec. We will be covering quite a bit of NS, but would appreciate some suggestions of "must sees" from your experience.

Also, what is ON1 Post Processing software?

Halifax has many spots to visit. The Maritime Museum, Titanic artifacts are there. The Citadel a fort in downtown Halifax with lots of things to see and do. From there you can go to the Bay of Fundy, highest tides in the world. New Brunswick the Confederation Bridge takes you into PEI, there you can see the home of the author of "Anne of Green Gables". You can go around the Cabot Trail into Cheticamp, go down to the Fortress of Louisbourg, I could spend 2 days there just because of the exhibits. Cape Breton has the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. If you are a golfer go down the trail to Baddeck some beautiful links style courses there. Go a little further to Peggy's Cove one of the most photographed light houses in Canada if not North America. It seemed like every time we drove down the road, we went on a "Caravan Tour" bus, there was something we wanted to stop at and see which is why we are going back by ourselves to be able to spend more time at the sights.

ON1 software is like PhotoShop. The link is here: www.on1.com. It runs on your computer rather than on the web. Lots of features that I hope to learn.

My wife and I just got back from our Tour of Nova Scotia. It was much to quick, we have decided to go back and spend more time at most of the venues. I loved the re-enactors at the Citadel in Halifax and the Fortress of Louisbourg. I am just starting to play with the ON1 Post-Process software so any suggestions are appreciated. Hope you enjoy the photographs.

Thank you for the info. I am leaving for Nova Scotia in two days for 12 days but the museum calendar says the exhibit will still be there when I get back. I live just an hour away from Tampa so I will go there when I get back.

In central Florida, we are lucky to have Marshall's Camera in a little town of Aurburndale. They have been around for a long time and I am like a kid in a candy store every time I go there. They have everything I could ever want and they people are very knowledgeable. They have new and used equipment and carry all of the major brands and 3rd party equipment besides. They have been very helpful every time I go there.

It looks like an immature black duck. They do migrate through Michigan. The duck in the foreground of the poster looks a lot like your photo.

Not sure about the first 2 but # 3 is by Bill Klem, MLB Umpire. 36 years of umpiring. I always liked the book title by Harry "Steamboat" Johnson "Standing the Gaff" great book about umpiring minor league baseball. Another longtime umpire.
