I am amazed at how much better my nite vision is since my cataract surgery. The surgery is inevitable so get it done so you can see better now! It is the simplest surgery I have ever had & I have had many. Like they say, it's not if but when for cataracts.

I have found the polarized Duco brand glasses help. The cheap ones don't do anything but turn everything yellow. I have both gray for sun & yellow for nite. I don't think there are any glasses that work at nite. I have found them very useful for low lite situations like dawn & dusk or those gray rainy or winter days when the regular sunglasses are just too dark.

You don't give a location which would be helpful. My 1st guess is wolf.

I have heard it said that the only thing "golden" about the "golden years" is your urine.

There are lots of add-ons you can get for carrying "stuff". Things like racks, panniers, side pouches for your seat. Just Google it. I'm sure you will find something that will work. Have fun!

Is that an ICE Trike? I love mine! Great for birding. I can stop when I hear something & just sit there in my easy chair with footrests & wait till they come closer.

Hi all. I am thinking about a trip to Arkansas to shoot some birds with my Canon. Anyone have suggestions on where to go or any books on the hotspots there? Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm with you. I don't hunt with a rifle. I only hunt with a Canon.

Nice that you had those beautiful views. We were there in August & it was so hazed over from the wildfire smoke that you couldn't get those beautiful shots with the distance you captured. Very nice!

Nice pics. When I was about 7, I was out playing in the backyard. Something caught my eye, I looked up & there was a huge cloud of Monarchs flying over my yard. Have never seen it again. I am so lucky to have seen it at all. Sure wish I'd had a camera though.

Too funny! I guess those Engish High Scool classes were a waste for those typists!

Though I am a Canon person as well, I'd recommend a Nikon P900. About the size of a DSLR but only 2#. It takes great pictures & has a zoom range the equivalent of a 24-2000mm. The electronic view finder takes some getting used to but then, you are used to that with the SX50.

I tend to be a butter fingers & am paranoid about losing my grip so I purchased the tether to go with the holster. I had been thinking about the Spider for a long time and am glad I finally got it. Shoulda done it long ago! And I don't have 1 regret!

I use a holster type Spider Pro. It's not cheap but IMO is worth every penny! I have back issues & this has fixed the problem of the weight on my back. It is extremely comfortable & I can almost forget the camera is there.

I do use a sling from Peak Design for my lighter 2# camera. It attaches to the strap lugs of the camera leaving the tripod mount for the tripod.
