Can't help with that problem..the only thing is to make sure the card is formatted in camera...
Have you tried downloading directly from the camera...?
If this works, save them on your PC and then Format the card after...In camera...

Yes I downloaded from camera to pc but when a certain number of photo's have been downloaded the rest become like well there but not there....I mean I checked my camera and viewed all my pictures before I hooked up my camera, then the download starts and when it gets to that magic number on the download that is when everything starts to fall apart. Half downloaded half lost in space literally...
I will try it again except this time I will pay very close attention to when this problem occurs and at what point it occurs...The only thing I hate about doing this is that I'm wasting either clicks of the camera or losing good shots....Guess it's a catch 22 thing.

There is a possibility that you have a counterfeit card.
With the card in the card reader, open My Computer, right-click on the card's icon, and click on Properties.
Note the number of Gigabytes. It should be close to the advertised size of the card.

This may not be the problem, but it's worth a look.

Checked out the SD card properties it reads 31.2 gig so that isn't the problem. I even ran a defrag on card came up ok. Also did a bad sector scan came up empty on that one 2?

You didn't mention, but have you formatted the card in your camera? I'm not referring to erasing them. There's a function in your camera's menu that will allow you to format the card. I suggest doing that (it will erase everything off the card!!) then give it another try.

Yes I have reformatted the SD card, both with camera and PC, no change there.

I have reformatted the SD card both in computer and PC same problem. The pictures are all in jpeg format and only half of the pictures will download if over a certain amount on the SD card. Will do a more through investigation to see where the number is that is the cut off point. Then I will check the SD card via PC to see if it has bad sectors....Camera has no problems. The 32gig is a third party card so my suspicions is that it's a 3rd party card that has no guarantees. Was hoping that it would be good with no problems. We will see....

Thanks, I first tried the USB hook up and only half of the pictures where downloaded. Then I tried the SD card in the PC slot still the same thing only half of the pictures. Whats wild is that it stops at the exact place using both avenues.
File size is no problem with my HD, It seems that when it gets to a certain area on the card that's when it happens, my guess is that the card maybe bad at a certain junction point.

I heard through the grape vine that 32g and up for a T1i maybe a challenge for the camera, don't know how true that is. I have my system set to large format.

No I have only the one 32g card, but I do have a 16g card and it works fine thus far.

I have a 32gig SD card for my Canon T1i and it holds many photo's great until I shoot over a certain amount of shots {I'm thinking 300 or so}. I view them on the camera with no problem but when I download onto my computer only half of the photo's show up and the other half go into limbo land. I would take the camera offline and check the images using the camera and I can see the photo's. But again when I try to down load them they won't download...Even taken the SD card out of the camera and tried to download from computer nothing again....Files corrupted! So I erased all photo's and try it again. same problem when I shoot several hundred shoots...Why is my 32gig card doing this? Should I chuck it and get another one? Don't know exactly how many photo's I can put on it before it cans them maybe a couple of hundred or so before it kaput's them.
