All nice shots Beth. You managed to capture a lot more shots than I did at Bosque. My visit there was at the wrong time of the year so I expected disappointment. I especially like your sunset with the Sandhills…nice capture!

I am still learning how to get clean crisp photos out of my recently purchased Tamron sp 150-600mm lens for my Sony A77ll. I had just attached the lens when I saw this hawk grab something on the ground and ate it. Then it flew off only to come back within a couple hundred feet and rest upon a fence post. It seemed to just stay there and pose for me. There were a few dead leaves between us, but the lens did not seem to care. Here are a few of the photos I took of this creature.

Looks like your learning curve is over…..nice clean sharp photos especially since hand held! Nice job!

Great photos of a very elusive critter! Don’t often see photos of badgers so these are unique.
Nice job!

No, not a rat rod. Either a restoration or beginning of a hot rod project.

These show the harshness of life in Yellowstone. It was raining/snow and a little dark even though it was morning. Taken at 840mm and a heavy crop. I'm glad I did not see the kill. I know it is the circle of life, but I don't have to like it!
This bear was not about to leave the area and let his meal go to another. At times he or she would just put their head down and fall asleep. It did cover up his meal and walked off to a small pond and got a drink at one point, but came right back.

Great series of interesting photos! Thanks for posting.

I find this old Northeastern town being one of the most lovely and charming places in Europe, and I would like to invite you for a pleasant, leisurely walk around its cobblestone streets and narrow canals.
Hope you won't be disappointed.

Thank you.

Very nice set of photos that bring back good memories. Colmar is a beautiful village and my favorite in Alsace.
You photo certainly do it justice.

Excellent shots Photolady! I love bears and find them very interesting to watch, especially the interaction of the cubs with their mothers. Thanks for posting.
