Hi Mark, We "defected" to Delaware from Fair Lawn 2 summers ago where we now have more ex-Jersey folks than native Delawarians, Thankfully Ida left us pretty much OK but just north of here in places like Mullica Hill they got blasted. Saw places like Manville on TV today and they are under water as well.
Just hope you and your family are safe and well.

I'm a retired physician (Family Medicine) who is volunteering at a local university for COVID testing (mandated by the school for all students, faculty and staff). I am frankly appalled by the large number in each category that have not received a COVID vaccination and even more amazed by the excuses given to justify their not having taken the vaccination. I have taken to bribing (yes bribing) these individuals to get vaccinated and I will pay up on the bribe.

What is it, you may ask? I went to the local grocery store and bought a large bag of Dum-Dum lollipops (the big round ones). When you come to get tested, show me a real CDC vaccination card and you get 1 lollipop for the first shot and a second one when you've gotten the 2nd shot. If it is J&J, you get 2 for the "price" of 1. So while these folks won't get vaccinated to stay healthy, they will get the shot to satisfy their sweet tooth.

Less than 1 hr is cutting it bvery close. EWR is notorious for air traffic delays and as a long-time business traveler, I've always booked at least 1 hr or more between flights. In addition, you'll have to go through a detailed departure check since you are heading over to France which can eat into your time to check in at the gate, etc.
BTW, if you are going to France, you may also be required to download a COVID vaccination "passport" on top of a Level 4 advisory NOT to go to France. I am half French and my family in both Tours and Pornic have told me to push my annual trip home until 2022.
Sorry to paint such a negative picture of travel, but for the immediate future, it's the sad truth.

As a doc and someone who works with our state and FEMA on fighting this pandemic, I would strongly suggest you to postpone your trip for the foreseeable future. The only Middle Eastern country whits a relatively high vaccination rate is Israel and they have just put into place a 3rd vaccination program as number start to rise due to the more aggressive Delta variant. Assuming you are fully vaccinated (hope I'm right i saying so), you may still fall ill although it should not be as bad as not being vaccinated, but you'll still have to isolate and spend your time recuperating in your hotel.
We just put our "bucket list" trip for 1 2-wk cruise in Europe on hold until 2022 having pushed it back once already from 2020. Yeah, it sucks, but it's better than being on a ventilator or worse.

As to the 2nd pic. You can always repaint a pool. Not so with a tatoo'd leg

Merci!

Sorry, but this does not do it for me. However if the water was actually red wine, then I might change my opinion.

A little bit of additional "anti-Oreo" info. For years, Nabisco had a plant on Rt 208 in Fair Lawn NJ where they made a number of products including Oreos. As a long-time resdient of Fair Lawn, we would sit on our front porch in the summer and get a suger high just from the smell of the cookies being backed.
Well, Mondelez, the corporate parent of Nabisco, decided that it would be better to close the NJ plant as well as one n Georgia and move their operations to Mexico. Their reason for doing this is "They say the decision comes as the company focuses its "U.S. biscuit manufacturing footprint to better meet changing consumer needs and growth opportunities." So as of Friday, July 16, your cherished Oreos are now made alongside nachos somewhere in Mexico. And to add insult to injury, 600 former Nabisco employees are now without a job.

I still have my Lafayette 23 channel SSB transceiver packed awayin my garage as well as some Cobra and Midland radios. We loved them when we went camping and in our car caravans with friends.
Now they are all in a carton somewhere in the garage. The development we moved to does not allow outdoor antennas (even satellite dishes) and a whip on my SUV won't clear the garage door.

Thanks. I'm leaning to the FeelWorld series. They have some decent YouTube video reviews as well. I do most of my shoots with a tripod/monopod with a grip for accessories. Probably will decide in the coming days. Just wish I could see one in person to help me lock in my choice.

I wish the solution were that simple. Suffice it to say that the loss of right-sided vision is irreversible so I'm exploring solutions that would compensate for the loss.

Hi, Thanks for the recommendation however the resolution on this is too low for what I need. I'm thinking along the lines of the FeelWorld F5 or similar but hard to get real user feedback.
Thanks - Jeff
