My suggestion is to join another email carrier. I had a similar problem and now use gmail exclusively. They have some problems too, but so long as your attachments don't exceed their limits, I've not had any problems sending any attchments.

The hell with the flash, these are Gretat shots; thanks for posting them!😊. I have not been on horseback for probably fifty years and still fondly remember the days.

Thank you! I usually do adjust in post when this happens....am trying to understand it more. Appreciate your input!

Perhaps you don't even need the flash. Have you tried increasing the lSO?

I often use long lens, hand holding SS 2000 or higher.

I do likewise, and I'm often shooting power boat and sailboat races from another moving boat using a Tamron version of the same lens. I would suggest not pushing the lens beyond 250 mm; beyond that I find the focus to be a bit soft.

It has been my experience that you hsve the prices reversed..The engineer always overrates hus training and skills and will almost always overvalue the job. The true mechanic will finish thethe job while the engineer is still thinking how he can do the job without getting his clothes dirty!

Nice shots; I'm surprised that momma let you get that close. When we lived in MA, we had one going across the back yard heading bag to the nest, and she never looked very welcoming !

Madman, Nice shots of th new and old Cape Cape Henry lights as all as the beach and water pictures. As a young Army Officer with a new wife it was a great place o lend our first two years. We had an off base apartment about 100 yards from the beach; rent was $113.00/month 😊 !

Tex, Those were the days for us then young's that wanted to buy a nice new car; my wife and I drove a '55 Pontiac n(good car!) while I was in the service, but shortly after I was released from Active Duty ('late 64), we bought a brand new Mustang ($2600) and drove it for about 10 years. I don't remember the cost of fuel in NJ, but I'd guess about $0.28-33/ gal.

Pmorin, My figuring has or me to believe that the state's with the atrocious fuel prices is due to the electorate continually electing spend and tax liberals rather than fiscally conservative Reps who might make a try at going the mess! To a lesser degree have the same problem here in MD!

Reduced gasoline taxes?
Used gasoline taxes for road maintenance?

Why is the cost of gas so high when oil is $64/barrel? Oil is still cheap. There was a time when it was $200/barrel. Why are we paying through the nose for gas when we've done everything to bring the price of oil down?

Steve, I don't want to defend the current price of gas, but there are a lot of costs between the price of crude pumped pout of the ground and your fuel tank. ie. shipping, inventory, refining into several different grades, more shipping to the station where you buy it, the gas station's cost of the fuel, rent of the station (or taxe on the land if he/she owns it, cost of inventory, payroll and taxes paid on the payroll, and Fed and State income taxes! Most stations make about +/- $0.03 per gallon gross; all the costs are paid out of that $0.03. I haven't even included the costs of locating and drilling paid before the crude is pumped. The owner is also probably working a six or seven or day week with probably no overtime for the owner. Would you work and risk your money for that little return? You really owe him his small return!

This has probably already been suggested above, but assuming he still has the serial number and CDs, you may want to uninstall PSE 7 and then reinstall it. I am assuming that everything else is working fine on his computer.

Back to your original question, I can appreciate his concern about not wanting to start on a new learning curve. I have had several clients with the same concerns. If you have to end up upgrading PSE, I would try to find a copy of PSE 10. PSE 11 introduced the new look and feel, which would require a fair amount of getting use to on his part. There is no doubt that ultimately the new look and features would probably provide a better experience all the way around, but it would take some time and effort on his part.

The final thought I have is if he upgraded to PSE 10, he would have three years of improvements in the new version. If your friend uses the Organizer, newer versions would automatically upgrade the Catalog to run on the new version.

I am assuming that someone can suggest where to buy a valid copy of older versions of PSE.

Good luck,

FWIW

Don, I mostly agree with you; I mostly use PSE 14,but I still have PSE 10 on my computer and use it when I want to print a 11x 14 on my Canon 9000 printer. Canon doesn't include that size paper, and V.10 is easier to use with my workaround than PSE 14!

Are you using spot focus flogging he camera pick the focus point? I also think to are pushing your luck using a 270mmm lens at that distance; I use a Tamron 70-300 mmm and often get similar results. Are you sure the camera s rock steady? It could be a camera shake problem too.

Sorry for the typos. Should have read"... spot focus or letting the camera... "
