I use Ilford Delta 400 for 35mm and FP4+ for 120 and 4x5.
I develop both using Ilfotec-DDX, being very cognizant of developing times and temps. I then use Kodak Fixer to finish the processing.

Tell me again what do you use for B&W. I think I may want to try to do some B&W. I won't do any prints because I no longer have my enlarger but I still have the changing bag, the Jobo film drum, thermometer etc..

John,
I really like the middle portrait. Good composition, is natural-looking, and better capture of the person.

Very nicely processed, with tonality, focus, and composition.

Over the last 50-some years, I’ve started my July 4th holiday the same way. I enjoy breakfast in the U.S. Then I enjoy a cup of coffee. While sipping my coffee, I carefully read “The Declaration of Independence”.

I think about what it must have taken to inspire our founding fathers to write and send this document to the king. I also keep in mind that, unlike email, the response was not going to be, even reasonably, quick. One had months to think about that response.

Now, to enjoy living in this great republic and the bravery which is its foundation.

I have several working cameras. However, if I had to choose one to take on a photo outing, I'd pick the one that allows me to shoot both digital and/or film. Can't miss that way. I hope that isn't cheating.

Back in the 1970s, I bought a Miranda Sensorex, and that was my sole camera (I think) until I bought the Nikon F Photomic. Today, I can't imagine having just one working camera. Do any of you have just one working camera?

Very nice, Mike. I really like the second one. Beautiful tonality, exposure, and texture.

Just put a sign on the faucet. The water department has determined that this faucet contains dihydrogen monoxide. Do not use.

The neighbor tends to use my water faucet to water her lawn. What happened if I put a warning sign on the faucet saying something like "DANGER! Do not use. May cause serious injury or death!". Am I in any kind of trouble for doing so?

Gravity is the strongest of the four known forces; electromagnetic, weak and strong nuclear forces which operate at the subatomic level but hold atoms and therefore our world together, and then gravity. In the past, we've been able to observe and measure the effects of gravity but could not detect it directly. Modern astronomy has now actually detected gravitational waves for the first time. Understanding the basic properties of gravity is the next great step in our understanding of our universe.

Phlash, don't take it so personally. There are "weak units" in every forum. Just ignore them.

Not for me. Admittedly, if I'm shooting to produce a color photograph, I'll use digital.

Shooting black and white film is not all that expensive.

The time has come to say good by to film and film cameras. Early this month I was at a car show and old farm equipment show. I was using a digital camera ( Fujifilm Finepix S) For me that all I need for a camera. The total cost of pictures from the two show was $11.27. That cost of 84 pictures. With film the cost would be 2X the cost of digital pictures. Now add in the cost of buying film and shipping it out and have the film ship back as pictures. It all add up to the point that cost of using film camera is too much. I don't like what I just wrote, but that the way the world is today. Well one would ask how about setting up dark room, forget that idea, it would not work out for me. Ok, what about the film cameras I have? I put some of my cameras in a second hand store to be sold. See how that works out. If that works out, I may put more cameras in the second hand store. I not selling off all of my cameras, some I want to keep like the Pentax K 1000 I purchased back in 1982. It was second hand when I got it, It still works great today.

Click on the My Topics button at the top of the page. Find the photo you posted and open that in your browser. Upper right corner there will be a highlighted # symbol. Click on that. Copy the URL that opens with that photograph. Sending that will allow the person to see that post.

For this example, I chose a recent post I made last December. The link I would send for that post is:

My wife is trying to make a short video that includes a slideshow of family photos in it also. Tried NX studio but it doesn't support video other than Nikon camera types. Nothing fancy hopefully with a short learning curve. Free. Lol.
Thanks folks for any help you can give.
