Waiting for a 5:30 pm Market Street meeting to start last Thursday so wandered out to the pier and took a few shots a little before sunset . . .
I remember getting to shoot a game at AT&T in SF last summer (because of local kid Andrew Susac), then seeing this Sports Illustrated cover shot from the exact place I had been.
and on the same day, Sports Illustrated announced that they're laying off the final six photographers they had on staff . . .
My club in downtown Sacramento, the Capital Athletic Club (where Gov Arnold used to work out) hosted its annual art show for members last night and the subject for my photo, "Ballplayer at 80'" Ray Newman, showed up with numerous family and friends, making the reception a great success. The photo was part of a photo feature I did last summer for the online Sacramento Press about Ray's softball team, the Sacramento Gold, an 80-and-over team.

There are probably other programs that do this, but I use the Resizer module in Perfect Effects 9, where I set the preset for 8x10 or whatever size you want to print, and it automatically prints the entire image to fit that.
From Tuesday, in Solano County, CA near Vallejo. The creation of 1,200 acres of wetland. Shot these using a Canon 7D with a Sigma 50-500 lens.
I have the same lens; it's very underrated. You did it proud! Great shots.
Though we've had a wet winter so far, California is still in a major drought, but the Delta stays beautiful. This was taken last summer.
Our cat Marty enjoying the nice winter sun.
yes, I'm about to make the same conversion, since Aperture since Yosemite has become too buggy for my me. One question I have, though, is do you import the Aperture or iPhoto library?
yes, double-check buyer isn't overseas. That doesn't mean they'll necessarily rip you off, but it will take a l-o-n-g time for shipment to arrive. Otherwise, I've had no complaints with Amazon, and returning items is a breeze
if you're using a Mac, check out MacPhun's Intensify Pro. Lots of good presets including a couple HDR that I use a lot -- be careful not to overdo it, though
very nice! Lake Tahoe brings back a lot of great memories.
