Yep, been there done that and creative software has been the salvation of my photos. You did well, it is called art. Mother Nature could learn from you on how she should pose.

Thank you for checking in and your nice comment. Post processing with creative software is what I like about photography.

Location is Bay St. Louis, Mississippi on the Gulf Coast. Was there for my nephew's wedding.

Several people have mentioned to lighten up #4
Here is a copy of #4 after I have lightened it up a little.

Yup! That's the one! There's a little "mood" to this shot instead of just being a snapshot of a nice plant and Christmas decoration. Like it a lot!

I like the one she did best!

How diplomatic you are! Not knowing which one she did doesn't make any difference, does it? Hers wins!

So I tried the vertical crop. What do you think?

WOW! The vertical gets my vote. Such impact! The abstract quality of the water is immediately apparent, and the stately bird stands out in all of its majesty. For me, this all gets lost in the horizontal. And I like the fact that there is more breathing room at the top and bottom in the vertical. The crop is a little tight in the horizontal, in my opinion.

Yes Utah is an amazingly diverse and beautiful state. Pretty cool composite but you might try reversing the upper image so the sun shines in the same direction as the bottom photo. As shown they contradict each other. The color could also be tweaked. Top looks cool and slightly green while the bottom is warm.

What a great eye! I bet the reversal would really make the photo work. (Didn't even notice it myself until I looked at the photo again after reading this comment.)

Perhaps you need a bird lover's knowledge to "get the joke." I was struck by the lovely bright color. Didn't stop to consider that it might be a bird that "shouldn't" be red! Good work though in giving a crow some lovely red feathers!

I like the fourth one, but would prefer it be as well lit as the others.

I agree with DragonsLady. There is a real "mood" to #4 which makes it go a bit beyond a "snapshot." But I also would like to see the subject brightened up a bit. The opinions, all subjective of course, run the gamut, don't they?

Beautiful series. Love the POV's of the interior of the church.
