reminds me of pictures of the Amazon

I'd bet the farm that the Amazon doesn't get as cold as here in the winter, there is 5 feet of ice on these lakes.
Thanks

Flying back from Anaunethad Lake (Inuit for Artic Hare Lake)
in Canada’s Northwest Territories. We were in a Dehaviland
Otter float plane. This just shows how the glaciers have carved
out the landscape along time ago. There are millions of these
lakes, most aren’t very deep others are very deep, 90% are all
connected and will finally empty in to Hudson Bay. Raining off to the left.
Don’t know how far to the horizon, we are at about 2000ft
Lots of fish.

Nice capture---I'm sure it was well worth the wait........

Thanks but to be honest I had just gotten out of bed for work. I would get up early every morning expecting to see this kind of thing. There weren't to many times when I was disapointed- Very common site. One down side is the flies are a big pain- lots of them.

You have a great camera---a guy who shoots baseball near me has one and still keeps it because it fills his needs and I guess that is what you have to ask yourself along with the money you want to spend. If you like the camera then spend less money and get it overhauled---if you think you need something that another camera provides then spend the cash and go for it. I know for myself being comfortable with a camera means alot and when I get my D7000 my D3100 will still be in my bag. If I could just get that little devil to shoot 6+ FPS I would never really consider buying another camera........

Thanks, I was pretty much leaning the way you said, just needed a kick to do what I was going to do in the first place

Thanks Pal

Briace,

Thanks for sharing those photos of Liverpool, it really makes me want to visit there! As for those who inappropriately "critiqued" the pictures, well their mamas probably never taught them that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all! ;)

Better quote would be "Say nothing, or something better than nothing"

Beautiful shot. Nature did good for you and your camera.

You are very correct about what Mother Nature did on this day, but these kind of sunsets and sunrises are very common. Pretty place, rather remote but--

Hi all,
I was in Wallace, Idaho yesterday hoping for a tour of the Bordello Museum but unfortunately due to a family emergency all tours were cancelled. So, I shot these pictures through the glass store front with serious glare and awkward angle as it was high on the wall.
Does anyone think they can be fixed? My only pp is Picasa and I can't do a thing with them. Feel free to play with them or let me know they're trash and that will give reason for me to hop in the car again for a "road trip".
Thanks :) :)

A simple question from Trail BC (close by) is the reason for the museum still operational.

But you just said that "Rules are meant to broken." Now there are exceptions?

Wish she would make up her mind, first she says "no drinking and flying" then she says "no flying and drinking"
I am so confused.

I thought they went hand in hand. can't have one with the other.
