Wonderful images Mike ... you captured some of the attraction many of us feel for Africa. Thanks for sharing.

Really like that image Jim ... it's an example why I regard your work so highly. I'm afraid I would have walked by that photo & just not seen it!!!!! Guess that makes me a whole lot less creative. But be that as it may, it's a great shot (& title by the way) ... really pops on download. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with pixelmaven ... clever. Had me fooled. Thought # 2 was creative. Thanks for the chuckle & for sharing.

kpmac ... thanks for the visit & comment ... & we agree. I think they are interesting animals that have a function, albeit sometimes not a "pretty" function. Appreciate you taking the time to comment.

CindyHouk ... thank you Cindy, both for the Eagle post that I could use as an example & for the continued feedback. Always appreciated. However, I might suggest that you be a bit more careful about your reputation ... agreeing with UT Mike?!?!?!? ;) As for furture posts, I currently have 3 more posts planned ... all predators ... all big cats. I've been saving them for "dessert" as it were. Then I'll give others a chance to post.

Properframe ... thanks for the feedback ... great way to describe the Hyena as lacking aesthetics ... you're right. But I did enjoy seeing them & feel they perform a necessary function. And no, we did not see any dog packs ... but will also admit that wouldn't be high on my list of things to see. You're also right about the Hyenas being dangerous ... I was surprised & will share that surprise in my last planned post.

J-SPEIGHT ... thanks Jack ... always nice to hear from you. Appreciate the visit & comment.

I've gotten to go to Kenya in 2016, and was blessed to see both White and Black rhinos, elephants, and countless others at 3 different parks. Congrats on what I know was a thrilling adventure for you.

Thank you ... it was a terrific adventure ... & we saw all but 2 of the bigger animals I hoped to see ... the only thing missing were Crocs & Leopards. I think Keith (RetiredCPO) is going to some posts on things I haven't done, like the other types of Rhinos & Hippos. It was a wonderful trip & I'm ready to go again. Thanks for the comment. Sounds like your trip was longer & you covered more ground. Think I'd like to do that type of trip next.

I have seen videos of giraffes "necking".... a little different than what I expected! :-)

You're right ... I've seen videos of it as well ... it ain't nothin' like the necking in high school.

I only mention them in comments that apply to dogs, etc.

Okay ... makes sense. Hope they are well. My Mutt sends her best.

Wow, you got some really good hyena photos! I thought they were fun to watch. Looks like you had great viewing!

Yes, we ran into them often. They were spread out in several places on Ol Pejeta Conservancy where we also got to shoot them near their burrows with little ones. They are surely interesting critters. Thanks for the visit & comment. Appreciate it.

Enjoyed your shots.... and always wonder the dilemma of a giraffe with a stiff neck! :-(

You've got that right ... there's a recent post on UHH talking about Giraffes "necking" ... which can be a form of fighting ... so I'm guessing their neck is extraordinarily strong. Thanks for the comments. Appreciate it.

You and Chief are taking us on a great tour, Frank!

Thanks Mike ... he's a good guy to travel with ... but damn, he's focused!!!! There's no fooling around when there's wildlife to shoot!!!! Speaking for me ... I had a ball & would leave tomorrow if I could schedule another trip with him. Thanks for the visit & comment. Appreciated as always.

PS: I never see you refer to your gang any more ... how come?

Well, I think you are a lot like Frank then. And I agree with you. A good laugh can work wonders. Defuse a tense situation, bring a smile to someone in pain, make someone forget their fear for a few seconds or even a few minutes. And it can go from person to person all around the world.

That's nice of you to say Keith ... but you can bet that very fancy Nikon 850 you shoot with that big long lens, that I would have definitely encouraged you to get out & get personal with those Buffalo ... as long as I was ready to shoot!!!!!! ;)

Cracking myself up here ... even without CLF's help!!!!!

My favorites are five, six, and eight.

Thank you ... I appreciate the comment & I liked those shots as well. I did get 1 shot that's even better, which I'm saving for a future post. They are much maligned, but I think they are an amazing critter. Thanks for the look & comment.
