Nice to see some of the scenic beauty of Arkansas.
My mom was an Arkansan, but she was located in the north central part of the state, near the White River. It is a pretty state.
Hi, samantha90, nice to see you. Thanks for coming.
Earnest, thanks for the nice comment.
Doug, thank you for the nice comment. Yes, the CCC did some very fine work. My dad was in the CCC prior to his marriage to my mom and my birth, but I don't know what projects he was part of. He lived in north Arkansas, so perhaps he was at Devil's Den.
pumakat and Dalek, thanks for coming and the nice comments.
photophile, thank you for the 2 thumbs. Glad you liked it.
kpmac, thank you. It's a nice little park.
I was able to install LR6 but with a 1-month trial period. I'm suspecting that means my license key is not on file at Adobe (although I used to have one). LR6 doesn't like my newer lrcat files, but I had a couple of older ones to use.
I found a LR6 that I could install, with a 1-month trial period. Not sure what will happen now.
I’m way behind on responses here, too.

Devil’s Den State Park
In October of 2010 I made a short visit to the Devil’s Den State Park near Fayetteville, Arkansas. It’s an interesting place, built in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and contains a number of nice rock structures. There are several hiking trails, but I’m not s hiker and didn’t do them. My dad lived in Arkansas and worked in the CCC in the 1930s – I’ve wondered if he was on the build crew here.
And now a few pictures.

I believe that Land equipped cars with headlights that had diagonal polarization (at a 45° angle) and windshields and rear windows with similar polarization. The light from one's car was polarized properly for coming through its windshield, but greatly diminished that from cars heading toward it. The rear polarization prevented blinding from cars behind. The problem with it was that it was frightfully expensive -- making windshields and rear windows that were polarized all over costed a lot of money, and the benefits only resulted if every car were so equipped.
Nice! I love Bougainvillea. #2 is special.

How long was her sentence??
She might not have made it to jail.
It's nice and very "artsy", but I'd prefer just a little more illumination of the arm art.
jaymatt, thanks for the thumbs up!
DougS, yes they are. They are more impressive in person.
