Seems like the leaves are so late changing this year, at least over here on the east coast/Central Virginia. Taken with my co-worker's Nikon outside my office today.
Fall is coming y'all! One leaf at a time!

Google iPhone photography, or cellphone photography. There's lots of info out there and great advice here already listed. Some folks don't take cellphone photography very seriously yet I've got a friend who annually sells her phone photography works on the walls of the state capital here in VA.

Actually, there is some validity to that. Law enforcement personnel (both sworn and unsworn) generally prefer not to have their pictures published for personal and family safety reasons. However, photographs which are taken and given to the officer or his/her family are a different story; the idea seems to have some positive aspects.
Agreed. Would never have thought the photographs would have been published anywhere for exactly the reason you state.
Wow. And all the OP wanted to do was share some good news and a positive thing. Just shows that no matter how good the news, how positive the message, somebody's gonna find a way to sling mud on it. I stand with the OP. Heck of a great idea that can't make anything but a positive impact.
...following cause I've got that camera...never done an update before myself...
Thanks everyone for looking and commenting!
I saw today where another hogger posted a hummingbird with a black background. Love those shots and have posted a couple before myself. Then I remember I recently took a couple of a hummer with a white background, or, as white as I could make it in PP. Second shot with not nearly as white a background...tried to go back and fix that and couldn't. Bummer.
These are the same hummer (I think), shot against the taupe colored siding of my home in the morning sun. Shot with Canon 7dII with my 100-400L (1st version) at these settings: 1600 ISO, 400mm, f7.1, and 1/1250 shutter and processed in LR4.
Enjoy!

Love these shots! I've taken some at similar time and love that black background, just sets 'em off so nice!

Gotta love your best friend... this little guy is a trophy and your dog was showing off. What fun!
My wife said Hattie brought it in and sat it in the floor of the florida room. She didn't know about it until our other smaller dog tried to walk by Hattie to investigate. Hattie got a tad protective of her toy at that point! Thanks for looking and commenting!

Great closeup of the Box Turtle. I can even see the sun reflected in her eye.
Thanks for looking cameranut! If I had cropped way in, you can also see me taking the shot! Would have posted that too but it wasn't quite as clear as I'd have liked.

Nice image. I guess that is what a terrapin optometrist would see.
Thanks, tbell, for looking! Can't imagine what those pupils would look like dilated!
