I've never owned the Tamron, but I've had quite a few e-mails from people about it and they all complain about the same thing - it's not sharp. Get the Nikon, you won't be sorry.

Steve, mine arrives Friday. Yahoo

Excellent photos, I would love to be able to go there myself, to drive in their environment and to be close to animals must be a wonderful, yet scary, experience. Thanks for sharing with us, love the elephants 🐘.

The animals are not afraid of the trucks because they think the trucks are other animals. But when you go for a walk you hardly see any animals because they all hideaway.

Great pictures. Just got back from Kruger a couple weeks ago. The only Big Five our truck did not see was a Rhino.

Thanks to all for your welcome for us new to the Hog. If I were to upload a photo, I'm not seeing an attachment feature to this page. Also, what size images are most commonly offered? I dont' want to upload a photo thats to HUGE or that makes you take out a magnifying glass to see it either.

Briefly, I used my old Olympus's for years. I loved my cameras, and used them for outdoor and Macro photography. I have boxes of slides and photos sitting in storage. But the Olympus's died on me after several years and no one would repair them without a high price. Plus I had to switch to other passions I had for a while and let them grow as well. Anyway, I decided over time to get a digital camera. Thanks again and let me know how to upload a pict or two. It will be from my past for now. I'm still in transition stage to digital.
Thanks to all for your welcome for us new to the H... (show quote)

Nikon D5600 is a very nice DSLR camera and not that expensive.

I upgraded my Nikon D5100 to a D500 and gave my old camera to my son. My wife wanted a smaller camera so I bought her a Sony a6000. With the D500 I shoot birds in flight with Nikon 200-500. Here is a shot from a recent trip to Kruger national Park South Africa

The Mail program on your Mac has an option to send the email to the junk folder. Then learns in the future to send it there automatically. Right click on the eMail and pick move to junk.

I joined the Orlando Camera Cllub. Educational, fun and people to go out picture taking with. There may be a camera club near you. You might want to join.

I recently dumped Lightroom and all related products. I have been a photographer for many, many years and have used, and still do, many, many software products. It is my opinion that Lightroom
is a complete waste of time. I know that many of you use Lightroom, and constantly extoll the program. But I personally will never use Lightroom again.

What are you using?

You're thinking like you're sharing photos. Think like you're sharing files. Don't upload to a photo sharing site. Upload to something that accepts anything. I use my Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive to share files with other people, which usually happen to be photos. You just send them a link to any folder you create. There are many other options, some of which have been mentioned here.

You are right. Thank you.
