Very nice tour, David! You do get around.
Thanks, Mike! Well, I used to, but not so much any more. Am hoping to do the Choir trip to England and Scotland this June, but the tour leader is not sure I should (Choir Director also concerned). So far, I'm saying that if I go I won't do/see everything, but if I don't go I won't see anything. I've been there before, so can just sit out some trips.
No idea about Moon Burgers. My go-to is a local Whataburger. My desires are simple: well done meat, lettuce, and yellow mustard.
Kids in my area played actual softball, or were in Little League. We did play line games, like Red Rover, though, and Crack the Whip.
I tried looking it up on the Web. Most photos of it I found described it as a schoolhouse. Nice shot.
Aka the "Cosmic Cloud". I've seen it, but not from that interesting angle.
Excellent! I didn't see all of those on my visit there because I don't hike.
I think you did well. I have been to Arches NP but I don't hike, so miss some of the more interesting shots. I did do a hot-air balloon ride over the park, though, and it provided some interesting photos.
I'm not familiar with the Tamron 18-270, but years ago I used their 28-200 and was satisfied with the quality. Now, my D7100 camera wears the Nikon 18-200VR2 lens and I've been very happy with it. If you are happy with the photos with your 18-270, I'd go with it. If you have a lens with wider aperture, that might be useful inside buildings. I just find a way to stabilize the camera for long exposures (1/8 sec or so). If I need wider than 18mm I just take a panorama.
