There is a professional photographer that lives close to me, so I will get in touch with him. Thanks again for your suggestions.

Burk photo,

Thank you for thoroughly explaining what I need to achieve quality printing in addition to the right monitor. I have a Spyder 5, but its service is limited without a computer with adjustment features, so a new computer is my first step. I have a lot to learn, but your information will significantly help.

My computer monitor does not have adjustment features that allow me to make prints that match the monitor. I am looking for a monitor that is more useful for photography. I would appreciate any recommendations on monitoring brands that meet these requirements—many thanks.

A friend of mine installed Lightroom several years ago, and he rarely used it. The version he has is "Lightroom 2, Version 2.7. He would like to create a slideshow to show on TV. He has a program called ScreenBeam Mini 2, which uses Wi-Fi to transfer the pictures from the laptop to the TV. However, since he opens all his .jpgs and .tiffs into Photoshop, the final image he sees on TV is, of course, the same picture he sees on his laptop, i.e., his picture in Photoshop, with all the usual Photoshop options displayed. In other words, he can see the picture in Photoshop on TV, but unable to view only the picture in full screen. When he attempted to upload some pictures in Lightroom, they were shown in the larger screen, and as thumbnails at the bottom, but they are all out of focus. When I try to open one, I get the message, "The file named ???? is offline or missing." Using instructions, he tried "Help" but couldn't find anything that gives the steps for creating a slideshow. When I search "Slideshow" he frequently encounter the word, "Widgets," that has no mean for him. I am a user of current LR/PS, but have never used slideshow so unable to help him. Any UHH suggestions of a resource that he could use to walk him through this program would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful and interesting photos. I vacationed in Normandy several years ago, but didn't have the time to tour Britany. The map you provided is the tour I would like to make. How many days was your trip, time of year and hotel accommodations? I don't usually make hotel accommodations in advance and find lodging as I travel. Especially visiting an area that is new to me, it gives me flexibility, but risky during tourist season.

The following is a question from a friend. Since I've never attempted to show photos on TV via flash drive or any other method, I am unable to provide him with an answer. I thought that with the number of diverse members of UHH someone could provide a solution.

I've begun selectively putting some of my better pictures on flash drives to view on TV via the USB port. Although they must be .jpg's rather than .tif's. they show up very good on UHD, especially when they fill the screen. Most of my pictures are saved in .tif, so I've been using Lightroom to export the selected pictures to .jpg. My problem comes when I plug the flash drive into the TV. All the pictures have been saved on the flash drive, but when I open the folder on TV to what I would call the "thumbnails," they are all there, but in reverse order. If I then reverse the order on the flash drive, hoping the display on TV will then appear in the right sequence, they're still in reverse order. After trying this several times, I find the last picture will become the first picture, with everything else still in reverse. I've just about resigned myself to running the pictures backward on TV in order to view them in the original order. Now, I've given you a lot more information than you care to hear, but wondered if you have ever viewed your pictures on TV, and what were the results?

Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.

Just recently, when attempting to open some of my DNG files I get either one or the other following error messages depending if I am opening with LR or PS. "File seems to be unsupported or damaged." or "Could not complete document because it is not the right kind of document." These are files that I have previously opened, processed then saved either as tiff or jpeg.

I would appreciate any information as to how this happens, and can these files be made functional again.

Thanks Mark. I really like your subject and the toning. Can't decide which one I prefer, color or B&W.
