They can be very destructive, and very interesting to read about. Found this little tidbit a while ago:

"If you have a flat worm infestation, there are several ways to control or kill populations. The first thing to keep in mind is, if you attempt to chop a flat worm in half or even smash them, the pieces will only regenerate into new flat worms. So, if you chop a flat worm into 7 pieces, you will end up with 7 new worms! You must dissolve the flat worm completely in order to get rid of it. Treatment methods include: salt, vinegar, and citrus oil. These products must be applied directly to the flat worms in order to be effective."

Be prepared for an entrance fee onto Chincoteague; this is collected by USFW, though may be too early in the season. A NPS pass should get you in for free.

Costs to get onto Assateague though, not Chincoteague.
And to OP, a walk through the Chincoteague will reveal lots of photo ops too. Neat small town. There's a nice and very interesting Chincoteague Museum too, on your left and just before the bridge to cross over to Assateague.

As an amateur cabinetmaker - I'd rather have a Festool saw than a SkilSaw. I'd rather have Lie Nielsen hand planes than the current Stanley crap, Forrest saw blades in my table and compound miter, Timberwolf band saw blades in my band saw, Whiteside router bits in my routers, and so on. The right tools do make a difference, and while they cost a bit more up front, they are made to last, stay sharper longer, and just "feel right" in my hands. And I can't stand Craftsman and Stanley hand and power tools since they abandoned domestic manufacturers and opted for off-shore. The quality has gone way down hill.

Drilling a proper pilot hole ensures the screw goes in straight, btw.

True, everything you say! In my woodworking, I can not do what I do with the silly Craftsman woodlathe - wore two headstocks out in those - so I moved up to a high (for me) end lathe and am able to do much more quality and creative turnings, and make money. And just to stay on topic here, I can't take the same photos with a kodak instamatic that I can with my Canon big boy camera, so it makes a huge difference for me. By the way, Gene51, good to meet a fellow cabinet maker. Well, I'm more of regular woodworker.

Perhaps you folks can help: I have searched the internet, but cannot find an answer to my question, probably because I’m not asking correctly.

I am using an iMac (High Sierra 10.13.6) and Lightroom 6.0. How do I import photos into my Mac without them also automatically going into Lightroom? I’m assuming (hoping) there’s a simple answer.

I do not intend to upgrade to the newest operating system because I am still using some 16 bit programs, and I do not intend to move to the LR subscription program, so thanks in advance for not making those suggestions.

Any help that Mac users can give will be appreciated.

It might be something in your LR settings. I use the macbook pro mostly, but also the big imac, and I run the LR6.14. I copy all my photos into my external harddrive that I connect to and import to LR from there. BUT, I have found that if I have LR open, it will want to import directly into LR and bypass me being able to bring them to the harddrive. So, I always be sure to keep LR closed until I'm ready to use it. Hope that helps.

Hooking your phone up to wifi might need the assistance of tech support then. I regularly send my photos to my dropbox, which goes directly to my laptop, and I can bring into LR before printing or move to a folder on my laptop's external drive. And sometimes I email them to myself from the phone. If you have a iphone and mac, you could use airdrop too to get them to the computer for printing. When I'm at work, I can print whatever I want directly from my phone because it connects wirelessly to the network. But again, to get your phone hooked up, you might need to call tech support for assistance.

..So I went after the Atlas Comet again. C/2019 Y4 (Atlas)

Had a fantastic night! I got onto it much post meridian, but hey, I'll take it!
I did my Model building (Losmandy speak for alignment +) and got onto the comet with Stellarium. I discover how to Synchronize the mount to the target, and it locked on. Veery Interestink!
Set PHD2 to guiding, and ran off enough images to try a variety of settings. Finally, bored with manually collecting, I opened Sequence Generator Pro and started a practice Sequence I had made as a basic for me.
I might get this yet.
It took off gathering it's fit's files, and clicked along, taking 50 second images, with a 10 second storage pause.
I still am having some small problems with controlling it, and stopping it. But making progress.

Neat photos! I thought I read an article that mentioned the best viewing was gonna come in May. I'm hoping to get a shot of this thing with my regular canon 100-400 sometime.

I use the spot the station website where you can receive emails notifying you when you will be able to view. Not sure about the other sites, but this one gives you the directions of appearing and disappearing, along with how high it will be in the sky.
I shot three images at 2.8 and f100, using a canon 7d mkii and tokina 11-16. I shot these at 2.8 because the sky still had a lot of light due to clouds and not too long after sunset. Three images at 44, 36, & 28 seconds using a wireless remote with camera set to bulb. First image was the longest, but with the settings, I figured I needed to not go but so long, so there was a gap to fill in that middle clear area (I used affinity photo to do that, and I am only just learning that), the other break between images occurred when it was behind some limbs in the tree, so not so noticeable. All other PP was done in LR 6.14 prior to stacking in StarStax and then to affinity for the gap. Cannot figure out stacking in Affinity, but I guess I'll get there one day.
Here ya go:

I caught it Friday night here in Virginia, it was to be visible for several minutes and I wanted to catch most of the route. I shot three images of up to 44 seconds (I think 44, 36, and 28 seconds) and stacked them using StarStax, total time came to almost a two minute exposure. I used ISO 100 due to the long exposure and didn't want it to over expose, easy to do for up to 44 or so seconds, f2.8. I used a wireless remote with camera on bulb mode and held the shutter open. I did that so I could create a "break" between at least two photos while the ISS was behind a tree. My shot was of the ISS flying through the tree tops. PP in LR 6.14 and then Affinity Photo to fill one gap. Can post it here if you'd like.

We will be spending a few days in Richmond, Virginia next Spring. Suggestions for photo opportunities are appreciated.

And, if not already mentioned, go to Petersburg to the Blandford Cemetery! In the old church are original Tiffany windows. The cemetery is incredible as well.
And before you go, follow the Civil War National Park that starts in Petersburg (Actually in Hopewell, also nearby) and drive along the battlefield ending at the crater. What a story that is! And beautiful landscapes along the way. When you come out of that drive, and to the main road, you turn right and just a short distance to the Old Blandford Church and Cemetery.

Thanks, I should have been more clear. You are right, creating the slide show is easy, transferring it to DVD that is causing me frustration. I got one slideshow with music that plays great on my MAC but when I play in in my DVD player the music cuts in and out, sort of jerky.

I'm re-reading the post this time...movie files can be a bit funky sometimes. I've had similar issues. Might it be the actual disc you're transferring to?
