When I first started to date his daughter (now my wife of 46 years), Pop scared the hell out of me. He had the largest hands I've ever seen. In this image he's playing it up a bit for the camera.
Hope you enjoy - looks best in download.
He has that Al Pacino look. I like the lighting and pose. Nice portrait 👍.
Yep! A little scary. Nice work with the portrait, Bill.
Uh-oh! An "ass-whupin" is about to occur. That's what Roy Mercer would say. Roy Mercer was one of the D.J.'s at a radio station in Tulsa Oklahoma. People would call in to the radio station to set up a friend, co-worker, or family member for a prank. Roy would call them and demand impossible things of them. When they wouldn't agree - some form of ass-whupin was in order.
That's a great photo. Good lighting. He does look menacing.
Bet a look like this scared a lot of boys off your wife's porch in the day...magnificent portrait, Bill.
A great portrait, Bill. Looks like you have a talent for portrait photography.
Very nice, Bill and glad that you met his approval!
