I have a large barrel with goldfish in it. I was wondering what’s the best way to shoot fish in a barrel. Telephoto, macro, flash, high Din, etc.

A fast macro prime, But whichever lens you use, use a CPL to avoid reflEctions

A fisheye lens?

Just kidding. Theoretically any lens should work.

Ahh, give the little critters a fighting chance; use a bow and arrow 😡

I have found the best way to shoot fish is with a 22. Anything else might be dangerous.
Really, I would use a 50 mm lens with a polarizer filter.

Good advice pretty much what I would say but only said better.

What a great and challenging sport of shooting fish with a bow and arrow (rough invasive fish like Asian Carp, not game fish).

Use a CPL and its easy. As easy as shooting f...... you know where this is going, right?

I will say it again, any lens will work but always use CPL.

I always use my 30.06, never had one get away. Watch out for the water drops though. LOL. For photography any lens will work. Sorry, just could not pass up the "shot" at this.

A shotgun would be easiest, but if you’re looking for challenge try a BB gun. For a real challenge a slingshot.

A grenade launcher would get them all with a single shot. They couldn't escape by hugging the bottom of the barrel. I suspect that a couple of feet of water would make the shotgun and BB gun ineffective.
