Hello, I put these pictures out here about 3 hours ago and they seem to have totally disappeared, so I will try it again. The first picture was taken last September with a canon t3i. The second was taken today with a new canon t7i.

Excellent compositions. Like the curve of the river.
The second moody one really evokes emotion.
Thank you for sharing such wonderful photos, greatly appreciated.

I like the first one best, makes us wonder why we upgrade our cameras as much as we do. The second one is nice, I am just not a fan of partial trees, I would have liked it better if the full tree had been photographed.

Yeah, I understand. If I had photo'd the full tree, it would have included a shopping mall which I think would distract from the mood. When I get out into the woods I will try to do a full tree pic or two.

I was a little surprised with the first picture after doing just a little touch up in photoshop. It seemed to me the lenses on my older camera weren't taking photos that were well in focus. But it turned out this picture does seem to be in focus. Also, the older camera is 18 megapixels and the new is 24.1, but it doesn't seem to have much difference in smaller pictures. Maybe I wasted my money, but I don't think so, because I do seem to be getting for the most part clearer pictures with the new camera. The lenses for the new camera seem to do better focusing on the whole picture rather than just whatever is in the foreground. But as I get more experience with the new, I may regret getting the new camera.

Boh images are really nice. Good work. Was the river photo taken of the American River in the Sacramento area. It looks familiar. Thanks for posting them.

Hello.

No, the river is I am pretty sure the Payette river, but for sure it flows out of Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho. I used to know these things but have forgotten over the years. I am hoping I get to go up there again this year, and get some more pictures of beautiful places in the McCall area. It is an absolutely beautiful resort town in central Idaho. A friend I grew up with has a home up there, but he says he is putting it on the market for sale. So so much for that. Still I hope to get up there and take pictures.

I'm still using both my T1i and my T4i, thinking about a T7i, just because of the age of the T1i, haven't found a real need yet but thinking about it, Bob.

Yes, I thought about it for a while. My biggest concern was the lenses. I had been told that Canon had upgraded their lenses, and the new lens does seem to be a little better. I also bought a 55-250 canon lens. I already had one, but I think the new one is a little better. But it may be the processor in the new camera is better so I may have wasted my money. I will have to live with it. I am not sure there is any way I can know. I do not have the professional knowledge a lot of people here have. I just take pictures.

Both are nice, and the scenic gets my vote if anyone is counting.
