This is very cleverly edited note the mention of left wing is not mentioned until the interviewer is speaking to the KKK leader. The students are obviously trying to be non racist the key word being "If its OK with them" meaning that they have no problem with the idea if its what the black students want. There is no indication whatsoever of the students being Democrats.
