Not all have the same beliefs, that makes them neither bad nor good, and our beliefs should be our own, and we should all be allowed to practice our individual beliefs, especially in this great nation. Words and symbols and flags are just decorations, it is what is inside each of us that matters, and how we treat our fellow human beings. My$.02

I get what you are saying......but they can keep the Dr. Pepper, I won't buy it for the simple reason that "under God" is part of the pledge whenever it was added. It is so democrat to just remove what you don't like and act as if "all is normal".

Under God was added to the pledge in 1954 to stick it to those Godless Commies. It was a political, rather than a religious act.

I’ve never drank Dr Pepper. No interest in early youth. Then after a I heard THE Doctor Pepper joke, I made sure I never did.

Dr Pepper designed a patriotic can featuring the Statue of Liberty, but they left out the phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance heading. When asked why, Dr Pepper replied: “We felt ‘One Nation … Indivisible’ best represented the message we were trying to get across.”

Dr Pepper has used the excuse that wasn’t enough room on the can for the words “Under God.” The real reason is that the company didn’t want to risk offending anyone who doesn’t believe in God. Bad timing. After the events of 9/11, that’s just not politically correct anymore! Sad! .... that "Indivisible" is more important than "God."

Folk that go through life looking for reasons to be offended...are generally quite successful in their quest.

Congratulations!

Its not like Dr Pepper changed the Pledge...the can did not have the Pledge on it...just the three words: One Nation...Indivisible.

They also lied about indivisible! Obama saw to that. We now have "identity" politics and are divided as hell.

Sure they did. When people in the US hear "One nation...indivisible..." and you say "what part did I leave out" they'll respond with "Under God".

They knew what they did and we do too.
