Really nice. I don't see any problem with the ISO that you used. But then I'm only a pixel peeper at my own work.

I believe this is a Red Shouldered Hawk. See the barred tail feathers.

I’m no birder, so I defer to you. Thanks very much.

There were two hawks in my yard yesterday - this one and a larger gray. But they didn't wait for me to get my camera. This red tailed hawk did wait for me this morning - I shot though the back door glass - it heard every shutter click and stared at me and my wife. Unfortunately I had to use a higher ISO than I like.

Nice shots.

Beautiful shots. I believe that is a Red- shouldered Hawk though, not a Red-tail.

Red-tailed would have a belly band;
Immature would have thin black tail stripes

Thanks Birder - two red shoulder hawks were in my yard early this morning again.

My wife & I have enjoyed watching them while having our early morning coffee - sometimes one gets really close to our patio and stares at us through our sliding glass door. Thanks for commenting Blair.
