Finding out very quickly getting the shot is one thing, editing is another factor.. but it keeps me out of trouble..lol. Next new moon is April 5, if the weather holds I am going try it again. This shot was taken one day after the new moon. The morning of the new moon things were just to cloudy to pull out the Milky Way.

Outstanding. Thanks for sharing. I did my first MilkyWay last week in Tucson but clouds did not cooperate. Wish I lived close to you to go out and photograph the milky Way. Have fun

Tucson I bet you have some really neat "dark skies"(not light polluted). The Outer Banks still has Light Pollution but I am learning to work around it. My next attempt will be in April New Moon. Hopefully clear skies!
